Chapter 8: Introduction Ball Part 1

It has been a few days since Palin has been exonerated from all of his crimes due to the fact that his ex-mate ordered him to do a lot of things and now that he has a new mate that wants him, along with a new status, I know he will be a good friend to me.

Palin and I were in my room getting ready for my introduction Ball to all of the Den Leaders and to the dragon's in the Kings Den. Palin's soft brown hair was straightened to his chin and his honey brown eyes twinkled with happiness. He wore a white Tux with a red tie and cummerbun. I noticed his mate Mark looked like a sword in front of a shield with a crown over it all. I think it looks beautiful.

We were done and now we were waiting for my mates to come escort me to the throne room. I sighed and stood up, my gown made me feel the breeze if I moved too fast. I wish they would let me wear jeans but my mates picked everything out. Including my undergarments, which were not my normal boxers. Sky blue lacy thong with a matching strapless bra. My dress is a deep blue at the bodice and fades to dark green with crushed diamonds all over it to make it shine in the light.

We had a make-up artist and hairdresser come to the Den to do my make-up and hair and the hairdresser tried convincing Palin to let her put some waves into his hair but he hid in the closet until they left. I laughed at the terror in Palin's eyes.

"You should've had her put some lowlights into your hair to bring out its natural beauty, Pal," I say with a smirk upon my face. "You never know, Nexis might just scoop you out of the ballroom and into a cozy little corner."

"If he tried to mate me in public, My Queen, he'd get jealous if anyone saw me." He replied back to me with a bright red face.

Before I could put my two cents in, I smelled my mates, and a few moments later there was a knock on the door, announcing their arrival. Palin rolled his eyes and smirked at me before standing up and opening the door for my mates.

"My Kings," Palin says in greeting.

"Gentleman Palin. Your mate is wearing a hole in my carpet in the hallway and is annoying us. See to him and calm him down." Py told him.

I looked at my mates and groaned.Why do they have to look so hot? Ox was dressed in a white tux that had small black stripes and Py was dressed in a black tux with small gold stripes. The suits hugged their gorgeous frames like a second skin.

"You look positively breathtaking, Mate," Ox said as Py and he walked closer to me and Palin winked at me from the doorway as he made his exit to calm his mate down.

"You both look like a walking wet dream come to life," I mumbled under my breath as I stood up and smoothed the skirt down of my dress.

"And you don't?" Py asked me. His gaze heated up while looking at me from head to toe.

"We would take you here and now to prove to you just how sexy you look, but there is a bunch of dragons in the ballroom waiting for us," Ox groaned out as Py came behind me to wrap his arms around waist and to kiss the right side of my neck, causing me to moan. "Are you wearing the new panties we bought you, My Queen?"

"Py, stop or we won't be going to that damn ball!" Ox grumbled out, walking to me and giving me a soft kiss. I wrapped my arms around his waist and was about to kiss him back when someone knocked on the door, making my men growl in annoyance.

"What?" Ox snapped. Palin walked into my room with a smirk on his face with Nexis right behind him.

"Your Majesties, Everyone has arrived and is awaiting your arrival," Palin said as he and Nexis bowed to us.

Py and Ox huffed and pulled me to the open door where our guards were. I stopped myself from chuckling out loud but ended up snorting. They both looked at me with raised eyebrows and I just smiled at them sweetly and pecked their cheeks.

"You will be punished for that," Py's husky and lustful voice whispered into my ear, causing a shiver to run straight through my body.

"Promises, Promises," I mumbled so only they could hear me while we walked through the halls, four guards in front of us and four behind Palin and Nexis, who walked behind us.

We made our way to the throne room, two of our guards approached the doors and opened them for us. Making our way through the ballroom, everyone moved out of the way. A few people openly gawked at us, well me. My Kings helped me to my spot, then took their seats beside me.

"Introducing, Our Kings, Onyx Heartsfire and Pyrite Heartsfire, and Our New Queen, Sapphire Moonstone." The Elder Vaus yelled out towards the crowd. Everyone clapped and cheered for us and Ox and Py had me waving to my new family. Smiling softly, I looked around as I waved and saw an older gentleman scowling in our direction. I made a mental note to ask my mates later on about him. Ox and Py stood, nodding to Elder Vaus, then turned towards the audience.

"We are pleased that you could all be here tonight to help us to celebrate your new Queen. There is a buffet style dinner tonight followed by dancing in the ballroom. Please enjoy and mingle tonight. You will have time to introduce yourself to your new Queen during dinner and dancing." Py told the crowd as a few servers made their way in to escort the guests into the grand dining room.

Ox and Py took my arms and put them through their arms so that my hands rested on their biceps. We left the throne room with eight guards surrounding us, just so we could relax and enjoy our evening.

After an hour at dinner, we all moved to the ballroom. I had met a few of the Den leaders and Their mates, they were all kind towards me. A few had warned my mates and I that Den Leader Ferrell was a believer that everyone should stay with their own species. I knew the man that had been in the throne room was Ferrell. I just didn't know his name at that moment. I do now and I will be keeping my eyes on him.
