Chapter 16: Rebel Army

It has been three weeks since Palin and Nexis called to inform Onyx and I about the rebels. Over the weeks we have had attacks on the outer Dens in the Kingdom. We moved all the Dens into the inner wall of our Den to display a united front. Nexis and Palin moved back into the castle with mated pairs and their children. The Nursery was full of babies when their parents worked in the Castle. Sapphire made her way there everyday to moon over them. We found out that we are having four boys but the last baby kept hiding and refused to reveal what it's sex was. We planned for five boys and a girl just in case. Sapphire was happy that we had our door extended out to include our old rooms so she knew the babies were near when they were born.

I couldn't wait until they were born and dressed like little princes and princess that they were. I stopped thinking about the babies when Onyx threw a frisbee at me and it hit me right between the eyes. I growled at my brother and the warriors that were laughing.

"Why the heck did you throw this at me?" I asked Onyx as I picked it up.

"You were zoning out when we're in the middle of training over nine hundred dragons with the Den Leaders," he replied with an eyebrow raised.

Signing, I looked behind my brother to look out at the men in human form. I could see them training and working out. Giving it a hundred and ten percent for their family, kingdom, and themselves. Everyone has already been warned about the rebels and no one wants their family unprotected.

"Want to go a few rounds, brother?" Onyx looked at me as he removed his shirt.

"Why not? Putting on weight when we eat with Sapphire every few hours and not exercising is making me start to look pregnant," I said with a chuckle as I removed my shirt and got ready to beat my twin.

Onyx ran towards me at full speed, I shifted my weight to my left leg. When he was close, I spun around and kicked him in the ass with my right leg, causing him to fall on his face.

"Hmm, Sapphire was right. That move does-" I got distracted and Onyx lept on me and tackled me to the ground. I swung my left fist to the side of his head and grazed his jaw instead when he jerked his head back, making him cuss at me. I moved my right fist to punch him in the chest but he caught it, twisting it. I smirked as my left hand reached his thigh, I pinched and twisted the exposed skin on his thighs from his black shorts rode up.

"Damn it, Pyrite!" He yelled at me as he started swinging at me, making me take defense and laugh.

"What? Sapphire's watching us. Couldn't let you have all the fun," I smiled at him as he paused and quickly turned around. Before he could catch me in a lie, I throw a solid punch to his gut when his attention is away from me and he quickly falls to the side, giving me a chance to get off the ground and out from under him. I start bouncing on my toes, waiting for Onyx to get back up.

Onyx kneels on the ground and tries to pounce like a cat but I front kick him as soon as he gets close to me and falls back. I jump to land on top of him and he punches me in the jaw. I know that's going to leave a bruise. He proceeds to jump on me and grabs my arms as we roll over and over. I growl at him in irritation and go to head butt him as he's bringing his head down in the same move and we both go limp, clutching our skulls in pain.

"Well that's one way to take you and your opponent out," I hear from a beautiful, giggling voice.

"Babe! Pyrite's being mean to me," Onyx whined as he got on his knees and kissed her swelling stomach.

"You big baby. You're the one that started the fight. I just finished it," I replied back and walked over to Sapphire, wrapping my arms around her waist. Leaning down, I kissed her neck. "Mmm, you smell wonderful."

"And you both stink like three day jockstraps," Sapphire said with a sassy smirk.

Onyx and looked at her, pretending to be hurt before we burst out laughing. I looked out at our dragons and smiled when I saw them looking at Sapphire's bulging stomach with shocked faces.

"Should we tell everyone? That way they can tell the others?" I asked Sapphire and Onyx.

"Yes, let's just get this out of the way," Sapphire sighed out. We could tell the babies were taking their toll on her body and her energy always came only to drain a few hours later.

"Okay! Everyone! Your attention, please!" Onyx, the loud mouth yelled. "We notified all Den Leaders and had planned to have a large barbeque to let everyone else know, but since ninety percent of you are here now we decided to inform you all. Our Queen is pregnant with our babies!"

"Babies?" A warrior in the back asked

"We have five babies coming in a few weeks. Four are boys and the other we can't seem to figure out. However, that will not matter, if it is a boy or girl. We just hope for healthy babies," I yell out to them. They start congratulating us and giving us well wishes.

We left the training grounds to put our mate to bed, Maxia caught up with us and asked Sapphire if she could hang out with her. She agreed and we left them. Maxia hasn't really said anything to us or any male, since Vandal left with the traitors two weeks ago. She's slowly coming out of her shell but is mostly herself when she's with our mate. Vandal calls every few days to check up on her, but when we ask him if he's coming back for her, he makes excuses and ends the call.

Maxia told Sapphire that if he's not back to try and make their mating work before the babies were born, that she will just reject him and return home. We offered her to stay here and she told us she would think about it.

Walking back to the training field, a guard rushes in.

"My Kings! The rebels! They are breaking into the outer wall! The dragons shifted and are now running perimeter," He yelled once he saw us.

"Damn it! Jenos! I want you guarding our room with two others! Protect your Queen and our babies and Maxia!" Onyx yelled as we both ran out the door, shifting into mid air. They will regret their actions today!
