A little over two weeks had passed since Thanksgiving and Jade realized many things. For starters, everyone except for Jenna began treating her like she was made of glass.
Once she and Jason explained to Layla what pregnancy really entailed and what a cousin was, she demanded morning and goodnight kisses to Jade's belly on a daily.
Jade found herself hanging out with her mother-in-law when she could as her tutoring sessions were winding down. Hannah Jean seemed to have a busy schedule as she was always out and about, but on the quiet days the two focused on the nursery. There were nice bonding moments between them, but also instances where Jade felt something was wrong.
Like now. Hannah Jean was sitting in a chair in the bridal room and she looked a little queasy. "Mama, you okay?" Quinn called out as she looked at her through the mirror. Hannah Jean took a breath but finally nodded as some color started coming back to her face. "I think I just ate something bad. I'll be fine." She said earning a nod from Quinn and Jenna.
"You look really beautiful, sis." Jade said staring at Quinn's reflection. Layla may have called Jade Princess, but it was Quinn that truly looked the part.
Jade's younger sister didn't believe love applied but hoped if it did, she would then have her own unique fairytale. And she had gotten one. Three prince charmings to love and who loved her wholeheartedly in return.
"Mom would be so proud for you." Jade said hugging Quinn's shoulders. The princess styled ballgown was vintage and covered in tulle and lace. It was beautiful and the cathedral styled veil completed the look.
"I feel worthy." Quinn whispered and Jade fought back tears. "You've always been worthy, Quinn. Always." The sisters hugged once more before looking at their reflections.
"You look so pretty, Princess and Aunty Quinny." Layla smiled up at them. "You look so beautiful, Lay Lay." Quinn said with a smile. "Thank you for my dress." Quinn nodded her head.
"You're so welcome sweetie. Come on let's get some pictures taken. You worked on your poses like I told you?" Layla nodded her head and began posing like the sassiest model she was.
