Jason paced his living room furious the next morning. "You didn't think to call me?! You didn't think I'd want to know that some psychopath was out here trespassing on my property while my pregnant wife was home alone?!" He screamed. "Stop it, babe. James was just doing what I asked him to."
Jason turned an angry glare on his wife. Jade hated that she cowered a little bit. She was used to this side of him being unleashed on others, but never her. "We handled it. James called the police. They collected the evidence and because you are who you are and this country lives for celebrities their fast tracking everything."
"I wonder if they'd be so eager and willing if you were Black." Jenna said looking at her fingernails. "Jenna." James spoke up. "What? Look, Jade is safe thanks to Havok's brilliant self and my amazing fiancé. The cops will be here in a few hours to tell us their findings and we can go from there."
Jade smiled at her. "You huffing and puffing isn't cute, Jason. Quit yelling at my finacé and glaring at my best friend or the stomping boots will come out." She served him with a glare more vicious than his own causing Jason to relent.
He let out a heavy sigh. "Do you know how terrified I was to hear that the police were called to my home from TMZ? I should've been here. God, Jade, what if something happened to you? To the baby?"
Jade pulled him down to sit next to her. "I'm fine. We're fine. Everything's fine." She said placing her hand on her belly right in time for him to feel Jaxon's kick. Jason looked at her with wide eyes causing her to smile brightly.
"We're good, babe. The police will be here in a couple hours, so in the meantime why don't we have brunch with whoever is free and finish planning our trip for next week." Jason nodded his head causing Jade to smile and peck his lips.
"I'll call everyone and see who can make it." Jenna said getting up. "What are we in the mood for?" Jade asked making her way to the kitchen. She stopped at the boarded up window and stared.
Jason rubbed her arms from behind. "You're safe, babe. I'm here. The window crew will be here this afternoon to fix it." Jade nodded her head and headed to the fridge. "Mama's out. She said she isn't feeling great." Jason looked at Jenna. "Did she say what was wrong? She's seemed off lately."
Jenna looked at him and shook her head. "I'm sure she'll be fine. I'll take her some food after." He nodded his head. "Layla is at school. Dad, Oliver and Elijah are at work, while Quinn and Liam are still in Austin. So, it's just us." James nodded before taking a seat at the counter.
"Jade, are you sure it was blood?" Jenna asked leaning on the counter. Jade nodded her head. "This is so weird. Who could do such a thing?" Jason asked confused. "Probably one of your old hoes. Hell, I say it's Elizabeth's dumbass. I remember that threat she made when y'all went to see her last." Jenna glared as she folded her arms.
Jade rolled her eyes. "We will see what the cops come up with." They all nodded as they watched her zip around the kitchen. In no time, Jade had pancakes, eggs with cheese, sausage patties and bacon on the table.
They all sat and talked about their upcoming trip to keep their minds clear. Jade could not hide how excited she was about visiting Colorado and it made them happy.
Jason was still shaken up by what happened. He hated that he wasn't there. He hated that he wasn't present to protect his wife, but he was grateful to James and Havok. He had the biggest bone coming from Pearland just for the protective pup who was thankfully not injured from his tussle.
"We leave Thursday at 8 am and come back Sunday. This is more than enough notice for you two to be packed and ready." James scolded earning an eyeroll from both women.
