Dabi's POV
The next day, we checked all the properties that could be holding our people, but still no luck. It was starting to get a little discouraging. I was talking to Yami about any other places that the Commission could be keeping them, when my sister came into the room.
"Hate to interrupt your conversation, but Dabi, your computer just got some kind of notification." I was confused. What kind of notification could that laptop be getting? Yami and I got up to follow Kanzen.
I walked over to the laptop and felt my heart leap into to my throat, though it only took a second for me to choke it back down.
"If finally finished tracing the phone call we got from Shoto." The others all looked at me, with a mixture of shock and excitement on their faces. "Destiny, get Nezu down here. We need his authorization to send out a scout party."
"Done."
As soon as Nezu was there, I pulled up an image of the building the phone call was made from. It looked like a warehouse at he edge of the city.
"This is where our people were when Shoto made his phone call. I think we should send in Invisible Girl, and Fifteen, to scope it out. We should also send Gateway, Shield, and Arsenal incase things go wrong."
"Shouldn't we send in a teacher too?" asked Eraserhead.
"I actually agree with Dabi, Eraserhead," responded Nezu. "Most of the teachers here are flashy. You are the only one I would send on a mission like this, but we need to keep the numbers down. Fifteen was trained as a spy, and Shield can protect everyone, while Gateway transports them. Arsenal can also fight if need be." Eraserhead just nodded, clearly not trusting my intentions. Not that I can blame him. I am a villain.
"Hagakure, go get in your hero costume, and come back. You have ten minutes." As usual, the student in question bolted. "Momo, go after her. Your class is still on lock down."
"Yes Mr. Aizawa."
The others that were going got changed into active wear.
I gave Fifteen a chest camera for this mission, so I could see every thing, as well as microphones, and a couple of camera's to put inside.
When Invisible Girl got back, I made sure everyone had an ear piece, so they could communicate with me. Yami opened a portal, and they passed through it.
Fifteen's POV
We stepped into the sunlight outside of the warehouse.
"HQ, have you disabled the cameras?"
"Yes, I have. The door at the north end of the building is unlocked. You are currently on the east side." Came Dabi's voice through the ear piece.
We quickly made our way to the the door. Invisible Girl left her costume with Gateway, and the two of us stepped inside. The interior was a dark hallway that led to another door about two meters from us. I could feel lots of people on the other side of that door, but none of them seemed to be thinking about leaving the building.
"HQ," I said quietly, "Is there anyway in except that door?"
"There should be an AC vent on the ceiling just before the second door. If the two of you can climb up quietly, you should be good."
I cautiously approached the door and reached up as high as I could. I felt the grate and pushed up. The grate moved as I smiled to myself. Perfect. I carefully moved the grate towards the door we had come in from, and instructed Invisible Girl to use my knee and hands as a step, and to crawl towards the second door. I felt her step into my hand and step up.
I heard her crawl into the vent, and heard the thoughts of people on their way to investigate. I quickly climbed into the vent and replaced the grate before any of them came to the hall.
We crawled through the vents for some time, but most of what we saw were offices, which we planted mics and cameras in. Eventually, we got to a spot where the vent dropped down.
"HQ, does this place have a basement?"
"Negative. Did you find something?"
"Yeah. The vent just dropped down. Are we authorized to investigate?"
"Affirmative." Dabi confirmed after a moment.
I used my rubber soled shoes to help give myself some friction, as I made my way down. Once I was on the ground, I used my communication device to tell Invisible Girl to carefully step down, and into my hands.
Once she was on the ground, I noticed a vent, and crawled over to it.
I couldn't feel anyone close enough to the vent to be a risk, so I swung down and had to bite back a scream. It was like they had taken the blue prints for the old building and built it underground. I climbed back in the vent, and told Dabi, who gave his head set to Keigo.
"Fifteen, can you install the mics and cameras, or do you need to pull out?"
"I'll be fine."
"Good. Start with the office, then guard rooms, the cafeteria, the armory, the med bay, the training rooms, and finish with the cells."
"Ok," I said.
Everything went smoothly, until the training rooms. Their were about ten people in each room. They were being trained, just like we used to be. I froze.
Not this, not this, anything but this!
I started hyperventilating. Was I panicking? No. I couldn't be panicking. I had been trained to never panic!
"Fifteen? Sh*t. Gateway, get them out of there. We're done for today."
"No! I'm fine. I can finish the mission." My voice was shaking, but I had to finish the mission!
"No. We're done." I heard Keigo change channels, "I'm sorry Himitsu, but this is for your own good." My real name?
So that's it, I thought as I fell through Yami's portal, He's aborting the mission?
