Hawks POV

Kanzen and I went up stairs with the others from 744, so they could get a look at Shoto's dorm.

"Here we are. Nothing has been moved, since the break in."

They all began looking around the dorm, leaving me and Kanzen just outside.

"So these are the people that you and Touya trained with."

"Some of them," I reply, "The twins, Haru, Gateway, Profile, and Shield all look exactly how I remember them, but the others are all in disguise."

"Is Haru Glacier? The one who tried to use his ice during the malfunction?" Touya had a lot of quirk malfunctions during the eighteen months he was in the program, but there was only one we ever talked about.

"Yes," I confirmed, "Haru is Glacier."

"I wonder if I could-," but she stopped herself mid sentence.

"Do you want to thank him, for trying to help Touya with the malfunction?" She blushed slightly at my question.

"You said the guards made him try, and I don't want to explain how I'm Touya's sister."

"Alright." By now, the others were nearly finished looking around the dorm, when I thought of something.

"Hey Gateway, you can make a portal if you know what someone looks like, right?"

"Yeah," she confirmed, "That's how my quirk works." Kanzen pulled out her phone to get some pictures of her youngest brother, and showed them to Gateway.

"Do you think you can make a portal to him?" she asked.

"I should be able to. Let me try." She raised her right hand, like I've seen her do a hundred times, and nothing happened. She tried again. Still nothing. "There are two reasons this might not be working. He's either in a quirk proof area, or he doesn't look like the person in your pictures. Let's hope it's the first option." There was a minute of uncomfortable silence, before she made a successful attempt to change the subject. "Hawks, you said you had some more evidence?"

"Yeah. Come on." We all went down stairs, but I couldn't get my mind off what Gateway had said. Could they have really pushed Shoto hard enough that he was unrecognizable. If Touya had survived his malfunction, I doubt he'd have looked the same. The image of my friend burnt to a crisp came out from the back of my mind. Even after nine years I can still remember all the burns he had, I can hear his screams, smell burning flesh. I shake my head. I would have probably dreamt about it if I slept tonight. Thankfully, I had the night guard tonight.

When we got back to the common room, we had them read a print out of the message we found on Shoto's iPod.

"So, they're actually back," said Fluoro quietly. It was like this realization was just now setting in.

"I thought we'd be the only ones, but I guess this new generation of stronger quirks was to tempting for the Commission," added Terror. We sat in silence for a few moments before Ray spoke up.

"Marionettist said you found files at the old building."

"We did," I confirmed, "but do you really want to look at those before bed?"

"Bird Brain, we just found out the people who tortured us are at it again, and just read a message from them that confirmed that. Do you think we're sleeping tonight?" asked Fifteen. I sighed as I gestured at the boxes containing everything we got from that place.

"If you really want to relive trauma, we can go to the old building tomorrow."

For the next hour they looked at those files, but after that, the kids came in to get some sleep.

"Dabi has a phone call we got from Shoto on his laptop, if you want to hear that."

"I think we've all had enough for one day Hawks," said Shift. The others all showed agreement, except for Profile.

"Might as well get it over with. Where is he?"

"End of that hall on the left," I said pointing.

"Copy," she said walking away.

Profile's POV

I walked down the hall with my quirk ready. Yes, I wanted to hear this phone call and get the bulk of the evidence over with as quickly as possible, but I had noticed that Dabi acted a little weird around me. He avoided making eye contact with me before I even mentioned what my quirk was and how it worked.

Normally, that wouldn't have made him sus, but he made eye contact with literally everyone else. Our files didn't have pictures, or a physical description. They only showed our new names, and numbers for identification, so he couldn't have known I was Profile ahead of time.

I nocked on the door that Keigo said was Dabi's.

"Come in," said a tired voice from the other side.

I opened the door, and locked eyes with Dabi.
