Today is the day? Yes, today is the day. You couldn't believe you are finally camping with the love of your life. You drag him through the lush green lands, clearing any obstacles in front as you both head to the campsite.
Upon finally reaching your spot, you notice the magnificent lakeside view but a shiver travels down your spine at the sight. You turn around to look at Mingi getting rid of the sticks and leaves on his outfit. He stares at you with a sheepish smile.
"You fell on the way, didn't you?" You question him, placing the bag of supplies and trying to clear up the place.
"I- I didn't slip- It's just- My feet tripped on their own. They lost themselves without your guidance." He brews out, scratching his neck.
"It would be better if you help me, rather than standing there."

It took you quite a long time setting up the camp for the night and gathering firewood was another challenge with a scared cat beside you.
"Yah! Stop burning leaves!"
"But the sparkles are like fairy dust~"
"The smell is sickening."
"Mingi don't like y/n! Hmph!" He stops his feet on the ground before heading to the lake.
"There are sharks in the water." You shout, unwrapping the aluminium foil off the sweet potatoes.
Upon not hearing anything back, you decide to approach the 5-year-old sitting on the shore. He turns his head in the opposite direction when you sit beside him.
"Still mad at me?" Your eyes notice a frown on his lips, as he huffs, folding his arms.
"Yesh!" You chuckle at his cute actions.
"Eat up." You place the roasted sweet potato in his lap, then gaze up at the stars. Luckily a meteor catches your eye and you swiftly close your eyes before pressing your hands together to make a wish. You glance at the boy beside you, who seems to be doing the same thing.
I wonder what he is wishing about?
"Y/n, you shouldn't stay here. Or else you'll catch a cold." He sweetly suggests, his warm eyes fixed in your watery ones.
You sneeze.
"Too late." You smile at him and Mingi sighs, only to take your cold hands in his warm ones.
"Please, never stop looking at me." His words melt your heart and the tears brimming up in your eyes slip down, wetting your cheeks. Mingi wipes them off with his thumb and he looks like an angel in the moonlight. That sweet smile spread on his lips does nothing but break the dam of tears. You rest your head on his shoulder, wetting the thick coat he wore to keep himself warm. His hand runs up and down your spine, calming you as you cry.
You hold your tears to pull away and look at him before asking, "What did I do to deserve you in my life?" The words were broken but he couldn't help smiling at them.
"Because you're broken and I need you to realise that you deserve to be loved. I need you to realise that you are not the problem and I want to fill up that emptiness in your heart."
You decided on spending the next hour in his embrace by bonfire facing the lake. His arm draped around your waist as he held onto you for his dear life. The dark sky showcased its marvellous wonders as you both enjoyed your late-night dinner.
Mingi has been the sweetest soul you've ever gotten to know. He has his own peculiar way of doing things, no wonder he's clumsy but that just makes him a cute goofball.
