"Nothing..."

"Serena..." You sigh at the blonde irritably. It's been over an hour since she has been at it. You were in her bedroom waiting for her to finally pick out an outfit to wear for her very first date of her entire life.

"There's nothing...!" Serena groans in frustration. Her golden hair sticking out in every direction as she furiously scratches her head. "NOTHING!"

"SERENA." You say loudly and sternly, capturing her attention with wide eyes.

"Did you just use the tone on me?!" She gasps, feigning a hurtful look. You sigh again.

"Sorry, it's just that you are starting to get on my nerves a bit." You admit with a chuckle. Serena flops down on the bed with a pout. You watch her carefully. Although you don't like to admit to yourself, you were always jealous of the beautiful blonde you call your best friend. I mean...who wouldn't?

Her long blonde curls. Her gorgeous green eyes. Her fantastically shaped body. She was practically a model for god's sake. Being anywhere near her presence made you feel like a potato!

"I don't understand why you can't just pick an outfit and go already," You murmur to yourself. "You're already beautiful, so any outfit would do, right?" You say this while turning to her. Her emerald green orbs stare back at you before she flashes a wide grin. "You always know what to say, (Name)."

Standing up, she heads for the closet and picks out a sexy red dress. You get up from your seat and head over to her, grabbing a brush, and gently brushing her hair while she applies make-up on.

"(Name),"

"Hm?" You hum a response.

"Why don't you ever go on dates?"

"Uhh-"

"I mean, you're cute and sweet. Not to mention an amazing friend. Any guy would be lucky to have you."

You frown at this. Sure you were okay and all, but getting a boyfriend never seemed to interest you since that day.

Serena looks at your frowning reflection, finally realizing from your silence. "Oh...Sorry..."

You shake your head and force out a smile. "Don't apologize. I just don't believe in love is all." The blonde sighs at your words. It's been over two years since you stopped caring. She knew you did it to protect everyone around you, even herself.

"Done~" You chime and give her a hug. Serena stood up and twirls around. She was absolutely PERFECT.

"Knock him dead, hon~" You give her one last hug when the doorbell rang. Serena smiled, walked out the door, and you could hear the two of them outside. Watching carefully from the window, you sigh at the sight of them smiling at each other. What is love anyway?

The word seemed foreign to you. You have never dated before but you had a few crushes, they only lasted a few months. There were some guys that were attracted to you and you felt the same way but they turned away from you after finding out what you were. A monster.

A single tear escaped from your eye and you hurriedly wipe it away before heading to the living room and grabbing your spare key of the house. You walk out the door and lock it.

The night was quiet. Eerily quiet.

Sparkling diamonds filled the dark sky as you quicken your pace, hurrying to get home. There were too many dangers when you were by yourself. A black car suddenly pulling up in front of you just proved your point. Three men in white suits and dark shades step out. You take a step back warily eyeing the three strangers.
