One Sided (Sabo x Reader) AU [Discontinued]

I declare war on all fish!

Nightfall came and the sky was instantly graced with twinkling stars. The chilly mountain air tickles your neck and making your shiver, pulling your jacket inward for warmth. The campfire was the only thing radiating heat in the area and the only source of light besides the main academy building a few kilometers away.

You were at the lakeside along with Sanji, Zoro, Chopper, Nami, Vivi, Koala, Kaya, Usopp, and the ASL. Tomorrow would be your last day of leisure before you would start classes the day after.

"Hey, someone pass me the marshmallows," Usopp says. He had two sticks in his hand, one for him and one for Kaya.

The pale blonde girl was covered in a jacket and bundles of woolly blankets to keep herself warm. Nami tosses a marshmallow pack to him. "Be careful (Name), you might fall in the water. It's pretty dangerous there." She calls out to you.

You were at the shore of the lake. The mountains standing in front of you were silhouetted by the darkness of the night. The crystal clear waters from earlier this morning were reflecting the glow of the moon.

It was like a fairy tale in reality.

*Sabo's POV*

"Go on! Talk to her!" Koala hissed while pushing the tense blonde towards (Name).

"I don't know about this, Koala, you saw what happened earlier." He complains.

"Ace said it was nothing. So that means it's nothing." She pushes him more, heels digging into the earth. "Don't be such a-BABY!" With that, she gave one final push. A strong one too.

Sabo stumbled at the sudden shove and lightly hit (Name) on the back. She turned around and smiled as she saw him. Her (H/L) (H/C) hair framed her face perfectly while her pure (E/C) eyes gazed into his own. "Oh, hi Sabo."

The sweet sound of her voice made his heart go crazy fast. He could feel his face heat up in a blush. "Y-Yo." He raises a hand.

(Name) turned her attention back to the lake and sat down by the shore, patting the patch of earth next to her for him to sit down as well. He did so and sat in silence with her, enjoying the view of the sparkling water and each other's company.

"Hey, Sabo," (Name) whispers, leaning towards him. He stiffens a bit.

"Y-Yeah?"

"Do you believe in love?"

A tinge of pink forms on his cheeks as he nods. (Name) lowers her head, pausing a moment as if she was hesitating, she sighs inwardly. "Have you ever been in love?"

He gives a shrug. "Everyone does at some point."

She hums a response. Falling silent suddenly like that, Sabo wondered why she was asking such questions.

"Have you ever been in love, (Name)?"

She looks up at him with a sad smile. Sabo immediately frowns. Leaning over to his ear, he shudders at her breath tickling his ear as she says in a low and sorrowful whisper. "Almost."

*Ace's POV*

Zoro was practically almost drunk from the booze while Sanji was yelling at him about something. Luffy had three sticks on each hand full of marshmallows. Nami and Vivi were whispering about something and giggling like the girls they are. While Chopper and Kaya were listening to Usopp's stories which, as Ace might have assume, were lies.
