"Yayyy, another day at school. Just what I need after a full week of throwing away my life." I sarcastically say to myself as I trudge through the mud. The grass beneath my feet was coated in mud and wet, so it stuck to my shoes. Perfect. I finally make it to the side walk only to have a car speed by and splash a puddle onto my clothes. Wow... This day is starting off perfectly. As I walk to school, my buddy Trevor speeds by on his bike.
"Yo! Charlie!" Trevor says as he slows down on his bike.
"'Sup Trev?" I say casually.
"Ah, nothing much man. The weather sucks today amiright?" Trevor says, now walking with my with his bike at his side.
"Trevor... Are you seriously discussing the weather with me?" I say. I wasn't really in a friendly mood.
"True... This is awkward now. I'm gonna go. Seeya at school man!" He said as he took off on his bright green bike. I finally arrive at school and gaze upon the enormous school building. The stormy sky would make the school look abandoned if there wasn't kids in the front hanging out. Some of the windows were busted, and there was a little bit of spray paint of a bunch of keys on the side of the wall. God people are so immature sometimes... I start to walk past the group of stoners sitting down on the muddy grass. One of them, I was actually pretty good friends with. His name was Herbert, but his friends called him Herb for obvious reasons.
"Heyyyyy Charlie, wassup?" Herb said with a huge goofy smile on his face.
"Ah, nothing really man. I just need to get to the library for study hall."
"Ohhh. Well, if you need anything man, you know where to find me. You know that right?" Herb said, putting his hand on my shoulder, and pausing a little in between words.
"Yeah, I gotcha Herb. You can sit back down now." I said as I slowly moved away from the huge smoke cloud Herb and his friends were making. I made it into the school, and as I walked past the gym, I saw Trevor peeking through the doors, watching the cheerleading practice.
"Trevor. Dude. What are you doing?" I asked him suspiciously.
"Uhh, I'm obviously checking out the hot cheerleaders?? Duhhh." Trevor said without taking his eyes off the girls. Trevor's key was easily visible, so I smacked him on the shoulder to tell him he had a hard-lock. Trevor looked down at his key.
"Oh crap" Trevor said, and ran to the bathroom. I shook me head, and continued on my way to the library. I opened the doors and started to walk to my usual seat, when I saw her.
