Things have taken a strange turn. Beomgyu and I have reached an agreement. We're are going to stay friends. Now I just have to get Ryujin back. I don't know how to, though.

My phone suddenly buzzed.

Ryujin

Ryujin
I'm coming over.

Ryujin
I don't want to talk. I just need a place to sleep.

Cherry
Okay

I guess destiny does work.

The doorbell rang a couple of minutes later. Ryujin barged into my room before I could even get out of bed. My mother must have opened the door for her.

"Hey," I whispered.

"I'm still not talking to you. I just can't be home right now." She barely even looked at me before pulling out a sleeping bag. We always had a sleeping bag ready for Ryujin when her parents started fighting. We stopped using it months ago, and she shared my bed. Today was different, I guess.

She set up the sleeping bag, and I stared at her from my bed. She tucked herself into her sleeping bag and turned away from me. I guess we really aren't talking. I leaned over and turned off the lights.

I tried but couldn't fall asleep. I found myself looking at the pitch-black ceiling. Talking to Beomgyu was less awkward than this.

"It's over," Ryujin spoke out of nowhere.

"What?" I said, confused.

"My parents are getting a divorce. I have two options stay in town and finish school with my dad or move with my mom to her hometown."

"Ryujin, I'm so-"

"I'm not looking for sympathy," she cut me off. "I just thought you should know."

"Okay," I silently nodded. I snuggled up into my blankets. I guess we really aren't going to talk about this.
