Things finally feel sane again. Ryujin and I aren't fighting anymore. Taehyun was right. Keeping everything in just made things harder. There are still rumors but it doesn't matter—no more boy drama.
My phone rang, and I was quick to answer it.
"Ryujin!" I called out.
"Jeez, I was at your house all morning today. Why are you so excited?"
"I'm just happy, that's all."
Ryujin lowered her tone. "Can I ask you something?"
"Yeah, go ahead."
"It's just last time I didn't ask. Well, I-I-" Ryujin started to stutter.
"Ryujin," I raised my voice. "Just ask."
Ryujin drew in a long breath. "Can I ask out Beomgyu?"
I was expecting this to happen. I didn't think it would be this soon though. I don't like Beomgyu anymore. "Hmm, do you really want my opinion?"
"Yes." Her voice was trembling a bit. I could just tell she was really concerned.
"No. You don't have my permission."
"Oh." Ryujin's voice cracked a bit.
"Seriously," I said snarkily. "To be honest, I don't want you anywhere near him. He's so annoying; you can do so much better."
"Chaeryeong!" Ryujin yelled, finally catching on to my sarcasm.
"Date whomever you want. But didn't you guys just break up? Don't you think it's too soon?"
"Yeah, but I want to try again. This time I want to take our relationship slower. I feel like we have a lot we need to talk about."
"If you're happy, then I'm happy. I promise to beat the crap out of him if he hurts you though."
"I love you."
I was about to say it back when suddenly, my phone dinged. I just got a message from Taehyun.

Taehyun Can we talk? I'll be at the basketball court by your house.
