33 Suspicious Activity

Chase noticed extra security on a server he couldn't access. While he didn't know what was on the server, Chase had to keep it secure and monitor any unauthorized activity.

An alert flashed on his watch, bringing an issue to his attention. Someone was trying to access that server from the Archeology Department. No one who would have access was in today.

He sent Gerald an encrypted instant message. Arryn entrusted Chase with a recent promotion as the Director of IT. He had told him to trust Gerald Quinn while he was gone and report anything unusual to Gerald.

Upon receiving Chase's message, Adya pulled up the live cam feeds from the Archeology Dept. Henry was making himself a cup of coffee. Grayson was at his desk, hunched over his computer, typing away. Karla was in her office on the phone talking to someone in Acquisitions.

Adya started to track the computers to see what each staff member was doing. She was able to mirror each system without any of them noticing. Grayson was up to something, and his computer activities were looking suspicious. Gerald standing next to Adya, watching her work and the video feeds, said, "Arryn was right to remove Grayson from the Executive team and watch him."

Gerald shook his head.

"Are you going to update Dr. Quinn, or should I?" Adya asked.

"Can you please? I would appreciate it." Gerald answered, pacing Arryn's office.

"On it, Sir," Adya said, typing away and saving video clips to send.

Gerald replied to Chase, thanking him for being on top of things. Chase was feeling good about being trusted to help. He continued monitoring for attempted security breaches.

Hanging up, Karla sighed heavily. She wasn't able to reach Dir. Alden still. And Arryn hadn't responded to any messages, nor was he picking up his phone. Castor was also unreachable.

While worrying about Blake's whereabouts, she grew frustrated with Arryn neglecting his job to run off with Castor. She used to respect Castor and thought he was a hard worker. Now he is off with Arryn, who should be doing his job.

It blew her mind that Arryn wasn't more worried about his parents; instead, he was off screwing the intern. Nothing was going as planned; she couldn't understand why Arryn chose that kid over her. Karla tossed her cup of coffee and yelled

for Henry to clean it up.

Henry hurried over and cleaned up the mess. He noticed a lot of tension and was trying to lay low and do his job. Dir Alden had warned him about not messing up, and now he was missing, just like the Quinns and their team, who all vanished on a plane.

He wasn't sure what was going on but was growing suspicious. At first, he thought that with Castor transferred out and Grayson in, it'd be easier for him not to get into trouble. However, he sensed he needed to be hyper-careful, even more so now. There was more going on than what he was told, and he didn't know who to trust. He scrolled through his contacts, wondering if he should even bother reaching out. Realizing that he had nothing to lose, he started composing a text.

"Hi, just checking in...."

"Well, this can't be good; he is dead!" Nimue snapped at Seth.

"I know! Nimue!" yelled Seth "you don't have to yell at me."
