The sky is dark, it's as if the clouds devoured the whole sky.
Lighting, alongside the thunder illuminated the heavens in a condescending manner.
"Ya joining tomorrow night's ball?" A man with silver hair asked. His attention is focused on the invitation.
"Old man wanted me to." The oldest replied with a shrug. He plopped on top of the bean bag across the man.
"Same here, my brother would be there so I am obliged to attend." Says the other one who sat opposite of them.
Silence filled the four corners of the room, the three caught up in their own thoughts. The calming patter of the rain against the glass window and the occasional sighs that one of them would release is the only sound you can hear inside.
The silence was only disrupted when one of the phones at the center table rang.
"Riel, your phone." Jaxen, the silver haired man, said with a risen brow.
"Probably Theon..." Ytriel, or Riel, said as he grab his phone.
"It's as if your brother can't live without you," says Jaxen. He rolled his eyes before grabbing his own phone.
"Shut up, Jax." Ytriel laughed before taking the call. "Hello?" He said on the phone as he stands up to find a quiet place.
"You're just jealous because your brother acts like he doesn't know you." The oldest, Cozen, laughed.
"Oh, fuck you." Jaxen showed his middle finger to Cozen
It took only three minutes for Ytriel to finally end his conversation with his older brother.
Cozen and Jaxen looks up - facing their friend. "What is it?" The oldest asks, after seeing the frown on the latter's face.
"I have a good news." Ytriel suddenly smiles. "What is it now?"; It's now Jaxen's turn to ask.
"Well...Eon said that I wouldn't have to be there." The two looks at each other and furrows their eyebrows, before facing Riel, again.
"What? That's unfair. How can you skip an important party, and we can't?" Jaxen complains as he stands up. The two just laughs.
"What do you mean 'We'? I can just skip that party whenever I want to." Cozen laughs even louder.
"Tsk." The silver-haired man just rolls his eyes. Riel went beside him and wraps his arms around Jaxen's shoulders.
"Maybe, if only you're close with Max, you can just skip the party."
"That doesn't even make any sense. And no! Being close with Max is like, the last thing I'll ever do in my whole life." Jax pushes Riel away.
"Yeah, right." Cozen teases him even more.
"Oh, stop it." Jax rolls his eyes again.
"What do you mean it doesn't make sense, when it completely does?" Ytriel scoffs.
"Oh, yeah? Explain it to me then." Jaxen crosses his arms; raising his right eyebrow.
"As long as the visitors at the party met one of every families' son or daughter or what, the rest of the siblings can be free for the rest of the night. The only reason why I have to attend every year is that, Eon's always busy with God knows what, and thankfully he's not this year. Because I can't deal with everyone's fakeness, anymore." Riel grabs Cozen's shoulder, acting like he's throwing up.
"Or maybe, your 'dear old daddy' threatened him? You know about your Father and Theon's argument, right?" Jax asks.
Ytriel, obviously being confused, tilts his head to the side. The latter scoffs.
