"You know the kids don't mean it."
"Oh. I know how rash they can be. Trust me"
Tyrone sighed, puffing out the first smoke that always tasted bad but the next ones where Yamashita's treasure each exhale
He offered one to the man beside him who gladly took it and took a deep inhale of the lit stick, exhaling with ease, smoke dancing through the air alongside his worries and thoughts
"We promised we'll all stop meddling with them. And then we're here again, stuck between a rock and a hard place" Ian handed back the cigarette to Tyrone who took it with ease and took a long drag out of it as well
"You know damn well Sky wouldn't." Tyrone replied, looking at the empty greens in front of them
This reply made Ian chuckle in response "That sounds like a very Sky thing to do" He smirked
"Where did we go wrong, Tyrone?" Ian's voice cracked through his question. They were all doing so well, having everything planned from first to the end of the race. He didn't know what went wrong
"When we trusted Hendryx" the man replied shortly, hint of betrayal can be heard from his voice, but the man beside him paid no attention to it
"We were all happy. Then we didn't get contented with that, we wanted more. More power."
"No. We are definitely not happy during those times. Don't forget Ian, the times we had to beg for our lives and kneel for redemption. We clawed our way out of that hell, and we wanted to make them feel to be the one crying for mercy." Tyrone spoke through gritted teeth, memories of their past haunting him all at once.
How they crawled to survive each day, how they only had each other to live, how much he wanted the blood of the person who wronged him in his hands
The feeling he tried to subdue all those years suddenly hits him again. The same thirst, the same unsatisfaction, the same hunger. It was all back, open like a scabbed wound pried open once again
Ian just sighed ang closed his eyes. His thoughts were running in a thousand miles per hour that even Tyrone could hear them all clearly.
He's contemplating.
"I don't want to do this again, Ty. We barely survived the first time" It was the first time that Tyrone heard Ian speak something about being unsure. He knew the man for years, even a decade at least, but the Ian he knew was always calm and calculated
Not this broken piece of a man that he is right now
"Well, we have the seven idiots with us now, don't we? Those guys are built like a rock I'm telling you" Tyrone joked to lessen the burden on his friend's shoulders. He shouldn't carry all of them alone. He shouldn't take the fault like his own.
"Well then if we have to do this, we have to bring Yin and Yang back" Ian said, finally the courage made its way through his words, his pride is back
Tyrone smirked in reply, throwing away the last bit of his cigarette to the ground. "Thought I'd never hear that cringe nicknames again"

The moment Yyan entered the room, he stumbled back from the bone crushing hug Michaelis gave him, not giving him a chance to even close the door behind him
"I'm so sorry Yyan I- I didn't know what got into me and I just-" Michaelis sniffed through his words making Yyan smile
He gave the boy a pat in the back in response "I'm sorry too. I didn't mean what I said a while ago, I'm just so worried about y'all"
