Tyrron lead everyone to a dark hallway, stopping in front of a very old rusty door. He opened a door that leads to another dark route they cannot fathom. He, then, helped the kids and his former group find their way.
"What the— Scorpius, what the hell is happening?" Yyan whisper-yelled when a continuous banging of the door sound erupted.
"It's probably the Hawthorne's." Tyrron replied belatedly after eyeing their surroundings once more before barricading the door where they entered.
"Wait, what do you mean the Hawthorne's? Is my Dad pursuing you or something?" Jaxen couldn't help but wonder. Tyrron turned to look at him making him flinch and took a step back, hiding behind Cozen and even grabbing the hem of his shirt. Cozen protectively shield Jaxen to whatever is about to happen.
He could feel that the man in front of him is that dangerous.
"Clueless as ever, poor child." Jaxen heard his twin muttered, but ignored it as always. He has no time to argue with him.
"Scorpius." Yyan said in a warning tone, sensing that Jaxen's scared. Michaelis also stand near Jaxen, effectively soothing the younger's worries.
"I'll answer all of your questions later." Tyrron said as he rolled his eyes. He stride forward and walk the lengths of the seemingly endless dark hallway, the others behind him walking cautiously.
"It's okay." Theon comforted Jax with a pat on his head. He heard Jethro clicked his tongue but he is no longer looking when he turned to him.
Tyrron inserted a key in a hole no one ever noticed, and a large gate opened up.
"Welcome aboard." He said, opening another metal gate.
"Woah." Ytriel was the first to react. What is presented in front of him is something he didn't know exists in real life.
An underground military bunker.
After minutes of being in awe, they quickly adjusted to the new place. Michaelis even plopped down on the sofa as if it was his.
"Jax! Come here!" He excitedly called the younger, grinning and even patting the seat next to him.
"Nyx..." Jax shyly sat next to him, eyes avoiding Tyrron's hawk-like gaze pinned on him.
"It's okay, don't be vigilant." Tyrron said to no one in particular. "I don't bite."
Jaxen just nodded and decided to just keep his mouth shut. His questions will be answered later, he keeps Tyrron's words in mind.
"Why is the Senator's men coming after you?" Cozen asked cautiously.
"I said, I will answer your questions— Shit!" Tyrron was cut off when an alarm goes off. "Stay here!" He yelled before running out of the door, Yyan was about to follow him but stopped midway.
I have to protect the kids. He thought as he glanced at Michaelis Oleandre.
Meanwhile, Hendryx felt the atmosphere change even before the men reached the auto shop. Moments before they arrive, He had already parked the van they were using behind some more old car, an effective camouflage to avoid being caught.
And on spot to what he sensed, minutes later, three large cars with tinted windows parked in front of the small auto shop.
"Surround the whole perimeter, check every nook and crannies, and drag Scorpius to me." The man in black suit, whom Hendryx suspected to be the leader, commanded. With a salute, everyone dashed to their positions.
"You," The leader said with poised. "Knock down the door."
The lackey quickly obeyed, knocking for a bit for formality before kicking the door open to reveal a small working area. No one is seen around.
