"Our priority should be Yyan, Tyrron! We can't waste time by miraculously pulling Brahm out from that fortress!" Hendryx exclaimed in frustration, but Tyrron only let out a scoff.

"You think we can just waltz into that fucker's dock and say 'hi, we're here to pick up our stubborn yyan. thanks.'? We're more likely to succeed with Brahm and you know that" Tyrron replied back.

The seven only watched the two throw comments and insults at each other, already used to the banter. But somehow, they knew that Hendryx and Tyrron are eager, if not itching to drag Yyan out of that hellhole.

"No, but!—" Tyrron cut off Hendryx

"Exactly! We're either doing this my way or we're not doing this at all. Who's with me?"

Tyrron looked around and raised his eyebrow

"Are you fucking with me?" Tyrron spoke up

Not even half raised their hands to agree with Tyrron's plan

"With all due respect, Sir Tyrron—"

"Don't you 'with all due respect' me if you're gonna disrespect me afterwards. It's redundant. Just say it" Tyrron scoffed at Ytriel's words

"— your plan is stupid." Ytriel continued, earning surprised and amused reactions from the rest.

"I mean, Hendryx is right. Lationette is an impenetrable fortress. It's more impossible to pull Sir Brahm out than get Yyan back from the Dirty Waters" He added

"Yeah, but Tyrron also has a point. 5Senses only have two braincells and half of it was taken away to the Dirty Waters. Now they're just nonfunctioning cadavers" Jethro replied

"Gee, thanks Jeth." Tyrron sarcastically mumbled

"Let's settle this. Who's with Tyrron?" Cozen spoke up. Two more raised their hands with him, which are Jethro and Theon.

"Who's with Hendryx?" He asked again. Jaxen, Michaelis, and Ytriel raised their hands. Cozen raised his eyebrow at Max

"What about you?" He asked

Max shrugged before replying "Can I abstain?"

Jethro rolled his eyes in reply. "He's on whatever succeeds. Too prideful to admit he'll be picking on the wrong side" He muttered.

"Let's end this conversation for tonight. I want you all up before sunrise. We're going back to training." Tyrron spoke up and took his coat before giving the seven one last look.

"No more sneaking out or stupid shenanigans. Once I know one of you did something stupid, I will bring you to Amerryllis myself." He spoke and left the bunker, presumably to hit another puff or work on his automobiles.

"Let's run it again. Quicker, faster, more agile. Again." Hendryx closed his eyes, listening to Jethro's footsteps.

Jethro groaned deeply before composing himself, sneaking around Hendryx for the nth time.

"Five o'clock." Hendryx spoke up before Jethro could even take another step

"Come on, you're totally peeking!" Jethro grumbled in annoyance

"Your footsteps are too heavy. I know you can conceal your presence, Jeth. You just have to try harder" Hendryx replied

"How can I do that when I'm literally walking on gravel!? Of course it's gonna be fucking loud!" Jethro exclaimed in frustration

"Then use it to your ability. Confuse the enemy, use it as a distraction. If you know your surroundings are loud, then blend in. You can't make yourself invisible, but you can make yourself unnoticeable" Hendryx spoke as he tied a bandana over his eye

"Try it" he added.

Jethro took a deep breath, gathering a handful of stones on his hand before keeping his gaze on Hendryx.

Instead of slowly walking on the gravel, he changed his tactics. He swiftly moved around, sliding and throwing the stones around Hendryx

"Nine o'clock." Hendryx spoke up. Instead of hearing the usual groans of the younger man, he heard nothing but the sound of the footsteps along the gravel.

"Jeth?" Hendryx peeled the bandana off his eyes, the sunlight blinding his vision for a second. When he refocused his sight, he saw Jethro sitting a few meters away from him

"Huh? What?" Jethro just smirked and shrugged

"Did I pass?" He asked.

Hendryx chuckled haughtly and shook his head in amusement.

"I guess I'll never know the trick." He chuckled.

"Nope" Jethro shook his head.

"How long do we have to do this, anyway? It's been a month since we talked about pulling Yyan and Brahm out but all we've done is train endlessly" Jethro asked as he watches Hendryx prepare for his hand-to-hand combat training with Ytriel

"Well, to be honest, I don't know as well. Tyrron said we have to wait for an opportunity to pop up. I guess that's just him buying time for himself since this is the first ever mission to lead" Hendryx shrugged

"Well he's insane for that" Jethro replied and shrugged, leaning back on his sitting position on the ground

"Can't blame him, though. If I was in the same position as him right now, I might've passed out before I even thought about it" Hendryx replied before calling Ytriel.

"Ytriel, you're up!" Hendryx shouted at Ytriel from afar who was disassembling a handgun out of boredom.

Ytriel grumbled under his breath and quickly assembled the handgun back before heading towards Hendryx.

As soon as Ytriel entered Hendryx's perimeter, the older man threw a packing fist along the younger's way, which he easily deflected

"Woah, calm down!" Ytriel exclaimed in surprise as he tried to avoid Hendryx's punches

"You can't tell your enemy to pause a fight, Riel. You're a coward if you keep on running away like that" Hendryx hissed and successfully landed a punch on the younger man's jaw

"Argh, fuck it!" Ytriel quickly maneuvered his body, using a technique he saw from Jethro earlier. He easily dodged Hendryx's punches before moving his hand behind his back to grab the concealed gun

When he realized that it wasn't behind him, he looked around frantically, thinking he might have dropped it during the fight.

"No bringing guns in a fistfight, Philistine. That's fucking unfair." Jethro spoke from the distance, still sitting on the gravel and waving the stolen handgun at him
