Author's Note: Okay, this took me about three Double Life sessions to do; however, I'm very proud of it. All of the oneshots are themed with the knowledge of the first session and the first session alone.

Ren's POV:
The first session was just about to end, and man, it was quite a ride:
Exploring the big ol' cave, finding out that I was paired with my buddy BigB, and finally building our base for the season. Honestly, a lot has happened in this first session alone; however, I'm glad that this new, dangerous adventure had begun.
Everything was going quite well despite the constant threat of harm from three sides. But, as long as we stay within The Box then we'll be safe from any intruder or mob. Despite the fortress not being fully build as of now, I'm still confident that the plan will work spectacularly.
My tail swished as I brushed my clawed hand against the top of one of our chests. When I looked inside, I frowned at the disorganization.
How are we suppose to build an impenetrable keep under these conditions? How are we suppose to stay protected from the elements and our foes?
I nodded my head with a growl.
I needed to fix this, urgently. BigB and I shouldn't have to live in these conditions.
(Minor timeskip brought to you by pain. What kinda pain? All of it.)
After sorting for a little while, my eyes briefly blurred as a dull throbbing sensation began in my skull. I raised my sunglasses in order to rub at my eyes.
Nursing the headache by rubbing at it didn't help this time around. I blinked a couple of times as my tail struggled to move.
This throbbing feeling wasn't like usual headaches that I've had before. And while I struggle to think of a cause, I can only figure that the headache couldn't have come from the heat or from overworking myself.
No, no, this felt way different. This hurts so much more....
The throbbing in my brain continued as a new sensation joined the fray: My ears felt clogged with earwax while also being pulled back.
I growled again as I moved a hand in order to gingerly rub at an ear. Then, once my hand grasps an ear, the reason on why I was in pain became as clear as a clean window:
My ears were turning back to normal.
" -Erk!" I gasped as a tingling sensation suddenly struck me in the spine. The pins and needles soon dotted down my back until it reached the base of my tail. Growling, I turned my head and looked down at the source of the horrible sensation.
Like my ears, my tail seemed to be shrinking back into my body. I watched motionlessly as the hair dropped off of the appendage while the skin and bone itself seemed to melt back into me.
If I wasn't already familiar to this uncomfortable circumstance, then I'd be curled up and wallowing in pain.
My whole body shook as I opened and closed my mouth. I let out a growl as I continued the motion until my human ears...
Pop!
I let out a sigh of relief as I rubbed at my ears. While my ears were still recovering from the change, it still seemed like I could hear just as clearly as normally.
