The Secret Is Out

Robin and Nancy were together. After Robin saved Nancy from Vecna by playing 'Girls Wanna Have Fun' by Cyndi Lauper. Since they didn't have the cassette, they settled for Eddie playing and Robin singing it while Steve ushered the kids out making sure that if anything went wrong that they wouldn't be traumatised by it. 

Once she had been saved, Nancy stuck close to Robin like a piece of duct tape, not that Robin was complaining since she did have a crush on Nancy. They would sleepover at each other's houses a lot, mostly at Nancy's house as Robin didn't like her mom and wouldn't invite Nancy over unless her dad was there to help ease the situation.

After 3 months of that, Robin had finally gained the courage to come out. Nancy and Robin were cuddling in the bed as they were holding each other protectively, walkmans nearby as they knew Vecna was defeated, they were just nervous and anxious. "You know... I think I should've said this from the start of these sleepovers but... I'm gay..." she said and looked down. "It's fine if you get uncomfortable and I will leave and make sure to not cuddle you anymore or hang out with you. Hell, I'd leave the friend group if you want me to and at work when you enter I'll go in the back," she rambled out nervously. Nancy just listened in shock about what she heard until Robin rambled.

"It's fine. You can't help it," Nancy said. "You know why I struggle with guys? Because I always had a crush on other girls... Sure I did like Steve and Jonathan but I always liked Barb," she also admitted. Robin was shocked to hear that too and smiled as she was happy. "And you know what... I like you right now... this is why I suggest cuddling, not because of the nightmares," Nancy added on. Robin was shocked as she then kissed Nancy, not able to speak any words and hoped that would be enough.

That was enough. It had now been a year after the Vecna issues and it had been 9 months since Nancy and Robin had gotten together too and Steve was the only one who knew about Nancy and Robin. He helped set them up on dates as he knew they couldn't go on actual dates with hand-holding and kissing so he would let them crash at his house sometimes while he went and stayed somewhere else so both girls had privacy. 

Robin and Steve were working as it was a slow day when there were the familiar voices of Steve's kids. "Well, seems like your family is here," Robin joked when the door was opened immediately as Dustin went over to Steve,  Mike and Will were discussing good movies while Eleven, Max and Lucas were looking at romantic films. Robin was unaware Nancy would be there as she was used to only the kids going over as Nancy was going to a college a few hours away. She was unaware the semester had ended and Nancy had come home for the holidays. Robin had gone to a shelf with some of the new releases when she was shocked to feel a tap on her shoulder. She jumped and looked up then smiled eagerly once she saw Nancy. "Nance! Hi!" she said happily and hugged her tight. She felt like a puppy seeing its owner after 5 years even though it had only been a few months.

Nancy chuckled as she hugged back. "Hey, how are you?" she asked Robin as she pulled away soon and looked at Robin up and down discreetly. 
"I've been good," Robin said with a smile. "You?" she asked as she took in Nancy's clothes. She was wearing a jean jacket, a plain light blue sweater and a pair of black skinny jeans which showed off Nancy's ass. Robin did stare a bit but didn't say anything or make it obvious to the other kids. 

"Yeah, finished my semester so I thought I'd go home for the holidays," Nancy said and brushed a piece of Robin's hair away from her ear as she was smiling gently. Robin was happy to hear that. After a conversation, Nancy started to explore the store, picking up a few films to watch like Footloose and The Goonies as well as Gremlins and Poltergeist. "Not so Nancy Wheeler," Robin teased as she was checking them out for her and handed them all over in a bag. 

"Thanks, babe," Nancy said then kissed Robin over the counter as she forgot the kids were in the store and they weren't out. Robin smiled as she was kissing back then pulled away. There was a gasp from Mike as Nancy immediately widened her eyes when she realised. "Shit," she said nervously and was biting her lip, not knowing what her brother would say. She didn't mind about the other kids except for Mike. Mike was stunned as he was frozen, Max was looking in shock while El was smiling and was looking at both of them, supporting them. "I called it," Will said to Lucas quietly and snicked. Lucas chuckled and nodded. "They are cute together," he said to show that they did actually support it.

"So that's why you couldn't get her Steve," Dustin joked laughing as he was happy. Mike then went over to Nancy and was looking up at her. "You're gay?" he asked.

"No... I'm bisexual," she said nervously when Mike hugged her and was smiling. "I knew the guys were too good for you... Robin is perfect for you," he said then as that was his words as acceptance. Nancy let out a chuckle and smiled. "Thanks, Mike," she said. Robin smiled as she watched the encounter and was leaned against Steve slightly. 

Ever since then, both women were happy and the friend group would be closer than ever...
