I watched my brother and Skyler. She was sitting on his lap. He held her hand while moving over the paper. She wasn't actually drawing herself, but she liked the feeling regardless. There are so many things she loved to do but can't. I want to give it back to her. 'What's wrong, Sideswipe?' She always knew when I was around or what I was feeling, when I was watching her. It amazes me. How could she know all of that? My brother stopped to gaze at me. 'Nothing. Just a tough day,' I replied. She snorted and turned, looking at me with her blind eyes. Beautiful blue eyes. It's a shame she can't use them anymore. There must have been so much love and emotion in them. 'You're a bad liar. Spill the beans or I'll bother you the entire week.' I laughed. 'An entire week, huh?' I joked and got up. 'I will,' she warned and smiled herself too. 'You don't have to worry, okay?' I rubbed her scalp softly. 'I am fine.'
She accepted it with hesitation and leaned into my brother. Sunstreaker wrapped his arms secured around her slim body. Her bruisings were healing nicely. It didn't bother her anymore, but for us, it was still visible. 'Why don't you listen to some music?' Sunstreaker asked. She nodded and freed herself, getting up. She sat down on our bed and slid her hands over the sheets, seeking for her phone. I stepped closer. 'Don't help me. I can do it myself,' she warned firmly. It wasn't even in the bed but I guess she forgot.
'It's not on the bed, dear.' Sunstreaker got up and snitched her phone off the desk. 'Oh...' she took it. 'I've to go on a patrol,' he said and cupped her cheek. Skyler seemed a little disappointed but smiled regardless. 'Alright. Have fun,' she joked. She's really relying on the two of us. Beside we are her entertainment, we also care for her. Especially my brother created a special bond with her. Sunny gestured me to follow. We left her.
'She'll be okay?'
Sunstreaker nodded and didn't answer vocally. He seemed pretty confident but I wasn't so sure. In the hanger, Ratchet approached us. 'How's she doing?' Sunstreaker shrugged. 'As good as she can possibly be after she got beaten up by someone and bullied her. It left a dent in her confidence. I am personally going to murder the person who hurt her. I swear—' he cut him off. 'Don't. Don't kill humans, okay? We will find out what happened, I promise. I just need to know how she is.'
'She's fine, for now. I guess she's... dealing with it in her own way. We can't really read her. I guess she's keeping her emotions to herself,' I said. Ratchet sucked in a breath. 'She still doesn't want to leave the base. Still scared.'
'Try to take her for your patrol. Maybe she'll open up a little bit,' he suggested. 'We tried. She refuses,' I said. He shook his head. 'Try harder. If she doesn't try, she'll be stuck here forever and she'll never get over her anxiety,' he stated. 'We are really going to upset her. I don't wanna put her through that. Let's give her some space to think and gain some confidence. She damaged, not only physically. I don't wanna rush. I will keep asking, but I won't force her,' my brother warned before passing. 'She needs to get out of the base. You know she can't hide here for the rest of her life. She needs to learn to trust again.' I nodded slowly and passed. I agreed with my brother on this one. but I also get what Ratchet is aiming for. How will we ever be able to accomplish it?After our patrol, Skylar wasn't in her room anymore. 'Damn it.' Sunstreaker checked the hallway briefly. 'Where did she go?'he muttered. 'If I have to guess... cafeteria. It's around lunchtime,' I said. He groaned and started walking. I hoped she was fine. My brother is going to freak out if he finds her bruised and bleeding again. He will chase the soul who hurt her and brutally murder her or him. Sunstreaker marched into the cafeteria. She wasn't here either. 'Maybe we kissed her?'
He shook his head. 'No, no... she always takes the same route. It's the shortest route and she won't get lost,' he stated in a matter-of-fact tone. I didn't know her like my brother but it made sense. 'But where can she possibly be? Medbay? Maybe she still has pain and didn't tell us?' I asked. My brother turned around. 'Hopefully. I don't wanna hunt tonight,' he scowled. I took a sprint to keep up with him. 'Maybe Ratchet knows a way to help her. I suggested something... he would think about it.'
'I know. He told me but it's impossible. No one can pull of a complex surgery like that. Not even Ratchet. I don't want her to lose her eyes completely. She might be blind, but she had the most gorgeous eyes I've ever seen,' he stated. 'Even if he can help her get her vision back?'
'It's too dangerous,' Sunstreaker snapped. I sighed softly and tried to call her, but she didn't pick up her phone. We reached the medbay and came to a stop. The woman behind the desk smiled at me. 'Hi, seem a girl? Her name is Skylar?' I asked. The lady shook her head. 'Sorry, Ratchet and Jolt are performing surgery right now they're lot even available if she wanted to see them,' she replied. I exhausted her a look with my twin and nodded. 'Right, thanks.'My brother really started to become agitated. 'Where is she?' He hissed. I shrugged. We checked everywhere, the hangers, the training hall, the shooting range, the fitness room but no sign of Skyler. It's like she had completely vanished off this earth. Sunstreaker sighed and rubbed his face. 'Maybe she needed some space?' He snorted. 'No, Skyler wouldn't just leave our room to have space. We weren't even there to annoy her. I swear, if I find someone tried to hurt her—' he didn't finish his sentence. 'Let's split up,' I suggested. Sunstreaker agreed and walked off.
