Sideswipe came to a stop. 'Alright, we have arrived,' he said and cut his engine. He opened the door for me and grasped my hand, leading me around. 'Sky?' I felt Sunstreaker wrap his arm around my waist. 'Sideswipe...' he wasn't sure who to greet first. 'She's blind... she can't see anything,' Sideswipe said and gave me a rub over my head. 'Oh... I am so sorry, Skylar,' Sunstreaker mumbled. 'It's okay... I knew it was going to happen,' I said quietly. 'Still...' he mumbled. Sunstreaker let go of me and I heard him embrace his brother. They spoke in Cybertronian before they took me with them towardds the medbay but Ratchet wasn't able to do anything.

'I am sorry, Skylar... I can't do anything,' Ratchet said quietly. 'It's okay... you told me and it was obvious it was going to happen. You did your best,' I said and smiled weakly. 'You can be sad about it,' Ratchet said quietly. 'I don't want to be sad about it... I don't want to want to end up in a depression and it's not the end of the world,' I sighed. Sunstreaker wrapped his arm around me. 'Come on, let's give you some food,' he said and led me around towards the cafetaria. Sideswipe stayed at my side while Sunstreaker cooked us a meal. 'So, what are you going to do now?' Sideswipe asked. I shrugged, 'I don't know... it's not a concern for now,' I said. He rubbed my back. 'I lost my vision but I got you in return,' I said, looking into his direction. Sideswipe snorted. 'You're so optimistic.'

I shrugged again, 'You know... if I keep holding on onto the past and all the things I have lost and can't do... I will end up in a depression. Even I can't see... I do know how everything looks like in my mind. It's just a shame I don't know how you look like...' I said. 'The color of my alt-mode is silver... like Jazz. I don't have the same fins aside my head as Sunstreaker... and my feet are tires. Makes me one of the fastest Autobots at the base,' he said and playfully nudged my side. I giggled. 'The arrogance is in the familiy, huh?' I asked. Sideswipe snorted, 'I guess...' I rested my head on his shoulder. 'Thank you for saving me... without you I would have died,' I mumbled. 'It's okay,' he mumbled back and wrapped his arm around my shoulders and kissed the side of my head.

I heard footsteps and they stopped next to me. 'Looks good, Sunny,' Sideswipe said. I sniffed. 'I couldn't really indentify what he cooked. I searched for my cutlery and started eating. Without vision, it's quite hard to coordinate. 'Shall I cut it?' Sideswipe asked. 'No, no... I can do it. Thank you. I have to learn it,' I said. He kissed my cheek and I mostly listened to the twins while struggling to cut but eventually it went better. 'I am really sorry it takes so long,' I said as I noticed that they were done eating. 'No, no... take your time. It's fine,' Sideswipe said.

I finished fifteen minutes later. We headed back to my room where I tiredly laid down. 'You're okay?' Sideswipe asked. 'Yeah... just tired, that's all,' I mumbled. 'Okay, well, we will leave you alone then,' Sideswipe said and kissed my cheek. 'Y-yeah. Thanks for the meal, Sunstreaker.'

'I am here.'
He turned my head into his direction. 'Sorry.' He pressed a kiss on my forehead. 'Don't be... see you tomorrow,' he said. They walked over to the door and left. I get it, they want to spend some time together. I sat on my bed for a very long time, listening at the muffled sounds on the background. After I think twenty minutes, I got up and walked over to the bathroom, taking a shower before I laid in bed and curled up. I wasn't in the greatest mood, despite my best efford to stay postive so I decided to go to sleep. As I was about to switch off the lights, I heard someone coming in. 'Hey Sky.' A smile formed on my lips. 'Optimus.' I sat upstraight and felt him sit beside me. 'You're okay?' he asked. I hugged him and buried my face in his chest. 'I am fine...' I mumbled.

He wrapped his arms around me. Listening to his heart was always so calming. 'The twins and Ratchet told me about your blindness,' he said. 'I knew it was going to happen soon or later. Ratchet did what he could but even he can't always fix everything,' I said and shrugged as I pulled back. 'I lost my vision but I got Sideswipe in return. He snorted, 'It's not a bad thing to be sad, Sky,' he said. 'I know... I am not happy but I'll get over it,' I said in a matter-of-fact tone but I wasn't sure if I was convicing him or myself.

'The twins offered me to be your guardian... so they can keep an optic on you and help you if you need it,' he said. I gave a small nod. 'They're nice... I am glad they found each other again,' I said. 'Me too,' he replied with a sigh. 'Just a shame I didn't get the change to see Sideswipe,' I sighed. He hugged me again. 'Anyway, how was your mission today?' I asked, leaning into him. 'It went well... no Decepticons so that was nice,' he said a bit playfully. A smile crept up on my face. 'I am sorry I wasn't there to protect you.'

'It's not your fault,' I stated. 'They did it because I am befriended with a psychopath...' I mocked and shrugged. 'It never should've happened, regardless who you are befriended too,' he said. I sighed, 'I wish I could tell you where they brought me but I don't know how it looked like. All I know it that I was in a wooded area... a log,' I said. 'I will ask Mirage to figure it out... you need to rest first,' he said and slowly pushed me down. He covered me and kissed my head. 'Goodnight,' I said, laying on my side. Optimus switched off the lights, 'goodnight, Skyler.'
