My mysterious bully kept searching for me as soon as the twins left. She still hadn't told me her name but she loved to make fun of me. All I knew was that she's new here and obviously loves to bully a blind person. 'Hello, Skylar.' I growled as she wrapped her arm around me and smashed me against the wall. 'Have you seen the weather outside? Oh, sorry... you can't.' I rolled my blind eyes. 'Your jokes are getting old,' I grumbled. She tackled me on the ground. 'You will never have a normal life... you will never be able to do the things you always did... or join N.E.S.T... I heard you wanted to join them before you got blind,' she said. I sighed softly and got up. It has always been my dream to fight along the Autobots. Ironhide promised me to teach me as soon as I finished my senior year. What am I going to do now? Who wants a blind person? Fear clutched onto my stomach. I never thought about it before.
The soldier hit me in my face. 'Leave me alone,' I whimpered and pushed her away from me. 'You're too slow,' she mocked. She kicked against my knee, sending me back towards the ground. A nasty pain entered my knee. 'I have to go, see you later Skylar,' she said before walking off. I sat down against the wall for a moment. Not only because of the pain but also because she made me realized I am useless. Sadness overwelmd me. What can I do? Not just work but also a boyfriend. How can I ever get a boyfriend if I am blind? I will never be able to keep up with the things he loves to do. I sighed and rubbed my forehead before I hoisted myself up and limped back to my room. At least I wasn't desoriëntated. I hurried my face in my hands for a moment, closing my eyes, even I was blind.
After what seemed like forever, I hoisted myself up and walked off,— back to my room before someone would see me like this and start asking questions.
An hour later, Sideswipe walked in. 'Hey, Skylar... I am bored. Want to play a cardgame?' he asked. 'Sideswipe? Uhm...' I sat up. 'You're okay?' he asked. I gave a small nod and sat back down against the pillows again. 'Yeah, I feel fine,' I mumbled. 'You don't look like you're fine,' he said. 'What do blind people in their careers? What kind of job am I supposed to do? Why would anyone hire me?' I asked. 'Oh, sweetspark. Don't worry too much about that...' he said and wrapped his arm around me. 'No, I am serious about it, Sideswipe. I would start my training here this summer... after my final exams... but I can't... because I am blind,' I said. Sideswipe hummed, 'there are plenty of jobs you can do at the work. Maybe not in the field but I bet there are things you can do,' he stated. I gave a small nod. 'What about a boyfriend? Why would anyone pick me? I will never be able to do the same things as he does... what if I will be alone for the rest of my life because I am blind?'
'That's ridiclious, Skylar. I can name up a lot of things why someone would date you. I know you're scared for the future, but don't worry about it, okay?' he asked and brushed some strands from my face. I gave a small nod. I hugged him and closed my blind eyes. 'You'll be okay, sweetspark. Don't worry,' he said, rubbing my back softly. I gave a small nod and pecked his cheek. 'Come on.' Sideswipe helped me up and brought me towards the cafetaria. 'I made you a cake,' he said. I smiled, 'thank you... that's so sweet,' I mumbled. He sat down in front of me and took a piece himself as well. 'I thought... maybe it can cheer you up a little bit,' he said. I snorted, 'I am not sad, Sideswipe,' I stated. 'No?' he asked. I shook my head and took a bite of the pie he made me. 'It's good.'
'Of course it is,' he purred. A smile formed on my lips again. Sideswipe started talking about a new game and I listened carefully. Sunstreaker joined after twenty minutes as well. 'Hey, Sunny,' I greeted and smiled. He turned my head into his direction. I sighed. 'It's fine,' he said and kissed my head. 'Where were you?' Sideswipe asked. 'Drawing,' he replied. 'What did you draw?'
'Some portraits,' he replied. I loved drawing and painting. I was quite frustrated I couldn't draw and paint anymore. Sunstreaker wrapped his arm around me and pulled me on his lap in one single move. 'Are you hurt?' he asked. I frowned, 'why do you ask?' I questioned. 'Sideswipe told me you are limping a little,' he said. 'It's nothing. Don't worry about it,' I said and waved it off. I retreated back to the bed and laid down, listening.'Hey, sweetspark?' I hummed. 'You'd like eat pizza tonight?' Sunstreaker asked. 'I am not really hungry honestly.' I felt the mattress dip. 'Hey, where's my happy girl?' Sunstreaker purred. I forced a smile on my face. I grabbed him and leaned into him. 'You're gonna be okay,' he mumbled. 'How would you feel if you can't draw anymore?' I mocked. 'You can still draw.' He guided me back up and sat down behind his desk. I sat down on his lap and grasped the pencil he pushed in my hand. 'What do you wanna draw?' He asked. 'I used to draw a lot of cats.'
He grabbed my hand and started to make shapes. A smile spread over my face. Sunstreaker's grip on my hand was firm, but not unpleasant. A warm feeling spread through my body. I might lost my sight, but I got the twins in return.
