Chapter 4

The old man began to speak. "My name is Jimmy Pullman. I'm assuming your Ivy?"

"Yes"

"And you are?" he pointed to Wisty.

"Wisty" she said.

"Well ladies tell me what you already know about the project and I will fill in the blanks that I know."

That was the hard part. I didn't want freak him out or anything, but I was kinda scared about the dream I had.

The dream was set in a government facility. How did I know? The symbols of the Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines, and Coast Guard were everywhere. I was in a clear glass tube and surrounded by doctors and government officials alike.

They were all staring at me like I was some sort of freak. I had a feeling of fear planted inside me.

I knew that I couldn't use my powers because when I tried to access the nearest persons mind nothing happened.

No flash of light, nothing. Usually when someone was blocking me out, my mind went dark and black. With this, I got flat out nothing.

The scientists came in and decided to take me out of the chamber. As soon as I stepped out I felt dizzy. I tried to run, but my muscles felt like gelatin. I knew I was going to a place not welcome.

The officials gave me to the president and he began to poke and prode me with a variety of strange devices. At that point I woke up with a jolt.

I told Jimmy this and he had a puzzled look on his face. I could tell he was thinking if his knowledge and my dream matched up.

He finally said, "I believe you. Let me tell you what I know."

"Not long ago the government was accused of not telling the public about aliens and UFO's. They tried to cover it up, but the public was to curious.

The government finally let it spill about all the extraterrestrial beings. They explained everything from start to finish.

It was recorded on 1 tape for 1 time only. That tape was unfortunatly lost in the fire that corrupted this world."

Of course I knew everything about the fire. It was the reason we were hunted, the reason I no longer had a family, the reason that me and Wisty were together.

It was the cause of the 3rd world war. We had been battling since 2019. We were still battling and it was 2029. T.V.'s was another thing that was lost. The fire nearly wiped them all out.

The so called "great and wonderful future" that was promised by President McLachlan wasn't all she promised it would be.

How did I know all this? We had a T.V. When I lived with my parents and I watched it everyday for any scrap of valuable news. Good thing I had a photographic memory. I remembered a lot from that futuristic T.V. It actually came in handy a few times. I knew Wisty and I had some explaining to do.

So? I think this cliffie wasn't as good as the others but it gave valuable information and was a good place to leave it. What do you think so far? Do you think the girls were right to trust Jimmy? What about that wizard's code? COMMENT!!!!!! Tell me anything and everything.

PS. Sorry this chappie was a bit long. I got overexcited about it!!
