I awoke at the sound of the screeching train brakes. We had arrived in Chicago. The place looked pretty trashy and considering the new President's laws, I wasn't surprsed that this was one of the first places to go.

President McLachlan's new laws pretty much said that anyplace where people could have a good time and party, had to be destroyed.

Why? Well the President said it was 'for our own good' but I really highly doubted that. She also banned T.V.'s for our own good, but people kept them anyways.

That was our mission. To recover my parent's T.V. If it was still there.

I was pretty sure it was.

President McLachlan also announced that our homes not be any bigger than hers. Her house was a normal suburban flat with nothing but old rusty furniture inside.

So people who were rich had to sell thier houses to other poorer people so that they could be sued instead of them. That was the penalty for owning a bigger house than the president.

By the way, the 'president' is actually a dictator who likes to be called president. She is our 'president' until she dies then her family members take her place.

Yeah it's pretty messed up. Every year or so she comes out with a new law or a new act that she imposes upon society.

She also wiped out all the newspaper buildings and equipment because the jepordized her image as a dictator. Yeah, crazy right?

Anyways, the train stopped and me and Wisty and Jimmy, grabbed our things and headed off the train. By the way this place looked, I was sure this was going to be a long trip.
