Ryujin & Yeji | Ryeji | Stolen Moments

Chapter 2

( Trigger warning - Homophobia and Abusive parents Towards the end of the chapter)

Ryujin couldn't help but notice the younger girl seemed a bit on edge, Yeji was sat there playing with her fingers anxiously and biting her lip, while bouncing her leg up and down very quickly clearly nervous about the flight so before Ryujin could think about what she was doing or why she felt the strong urge to comfort the other girl, her hand had moved to Yeji's knee which she gave a light soft squeeze, at the action Yeji stilled and turned to look at Ryujin who just gave her a comforting smile before saying "it's okay, nothing will happen, you're safe,I promise you Yeji"
Yeji smiled back at her and just as she was about to speak the plane began to take off, the movement scaring Yeji again and in her fear and panic she reached for Ryujin's hand that was still on her knee, turning it over to interlace their fingers, the action made Ryujin smile slightly once again.

when she felt the grip on her hand get tighter she began tracing soothing patterns on Yeji's hand with her thumb slowly trying to calm her down, after a few minutes it worked but neither girl wanted to let go of each other so they didn't, not wanting to lose the instant warmth and  comfort both of them felt from each other.

After a few hours on the plane both girls began to feel tired, and if they had inched a lot closer together neither had noticed or cared to talk about it, they had been sharing small talk and getting to know eachother a little bit better before Yeji had fallen asleep, hugging Ryujin's arm and  head almost laying on her chest, a few moments had passed like that until Yeji started lightly snoring and nuzzling further in to Ryujin's shoulder.

Ryujin found it extremely adorable, she looked down at the familiar face and couldn't help but smile at the sight, reaching over with her free hand to move some of the bright orange strands of hair from the younger girls gorgeous feline face, Ryujin was frozen for a few moments just admiring the undeniable beauty before her, glancing over her face looking at the way her eyelashes fluttered and her nose scrunched slightly as she was dreaming and then stopping to look at her pink pillowy lips, Ryujin shook her head slightly as she realised was she did and stopped herself before letting her mind wander, she knew she shouldn't be feeling like this, this is her boyfriends little sister, her boyfriend who she was pretty sure she loved and was sitting 5 rows in front of them on the plane right now.

she looked in front and could see the top of Hyunjin's blonde head and then looked down at the girl cutely sleeping peacefully on her shoulder, her mind tormenting her about what the hell she was feeling, but she would ignore it and push it down, after all she wasn't going to ruin the annual family holiday with this secret so that's how she was planning to always keep it, a secret, just like her mother had told her to do all those years ago

(Flashback 7 years ago)

Ryujin was in her bedroom with her best friend Lia, she had had a crush on the older girl for 2 years, ever since she was 13 and Lia had just told her that she felt the same, they were sat on Ryujin's bed, looking giddily at eachother, Ryujin still shocked by the revelation when Lia leaned forward and captured her lips in a loving sensitive kiss and it was in that moment that Ryujin knew for sure that she definitely liked girls, just as she began to reciprocate the kiss her mother barged in her room not even knocking, Ryujin and Lia swiftly leapt apart, the anger was clear on her mother's face as she turned to Lia and shouted at the older girl " Lia get out of this house now and never come back, I thought I could trust you with my daughter not to lead her to this disgusting sinful filth but you're just as bad as everyone else"

both girls were crying at this point, Ryujin still holding Lia's hand too scared to let go because she knew that once she did, she would never see the cute smile of the older girl ever again, but she eventually had to let Go and Lia was escorted to the door by Ryujin's mother, by the time she came back Ryujin was sobbing.

Her mother looked at her in disgust before walking up to her barely any distance left between them and said " how dare you embarrass me like this, I swear to god if this leaves these walls and everyone finds out what a disgusting dyke you are, I will make sure none of the family speak to you ever again and you'll never be able to see your baby sister, this secret stays between us, I don't want to see you with any girls or i'll send you away" and then slapped her cheek hard making her fall to the floor, which is where she stayed that night curled up hugging her knees and hysterically crying until she passed out, hating herself for who she was but after that day she promised to herself that she would do what her mother said and no one would know that she was gay , she would do everything and anything to hide it, until it became her reality

Not even a week later she was being forced to move across the world to go and live with her aunt, and Ryujin was pretty sure it was to make sure she wouldn't get to see Lia anymore and it worked because to this day she still hadn't seen her ever since that evening in her room, the day that could've been the best she'd ever had if only her mother hadn't of interupted.
