Olivia walked into the school, her head low as she immediately went to her locker. Her eyes trailed over to the other side of the hall, noticing Steve standing next to Nancy, a smirk forming at both of their lips. What hurt her the most was when their lips touched, and that's when she felt her eyes burn with tears again. She didn't want anyone seeing her, so she walked over to the bathroom door in the front of the school, but when she turned her head, she saw the picture of Will Byers, his smile shining at her.
The girl's expression softened at the sight of the Byers boy, knowing he was still missing. His bright smile gave the brunette girl an idea, which she knew her best friend wouldn't allow, but then she realized that she didn't want to care what he thought anymore because it was clear that he would always have eyes for Nancy Wheeler.
.
At the end of the day, Olivia found Jonathan Byers walking out of the school. She quickly ran up to him, her hand reaching for his arm to stop him. She noticed his saddened and quiet expression, which caused her to give him a small smile in hopes that he wouldn't be angered by her.
"Hey, Jonathan. How is your mom?" They continued walking off of the school grounds and torwards the parking lot.
The light-haired boy quickly let out a stressful sigh before turning his head to her. "She's loosing her mind. She thinks that Will is talking to her but nobody believes her. I don't know if I even believe her."
The hazel-eyed girl pursed her lips, understanding how pain felt, and she wished that she could do something to help the suffering family, but she didn't know how. "I'm sorry for everything you guys have to go through. Just know that I'm here if you need anything, okay?" She looked him deep in the eyes so he knew that she was serious and wouldn't break her promise.
"Yeah. Thanks." He gave her a soft smile before he turned his head to his car, noticing Steve, Carol, Tommy, and Nicole all standing at the trunk of the car, their faces clearly giving him harsh glances.
"Hey, man." Steve kept a straight face as he stood up from the back of the car, his eyes soon after trailing to Olivia. "What are you doing with him?" The girl looked away at the floor, trying her best to be uninterested.
"What's going on?" Jonathan asked nervously.
"Nicole here was, uh, telling us about your work." He stated aggrivatdly.
"We've heard great things." Carol wore a small grin as she backed up Steve, everyone's words only confusing the hazel-eyed girl more and more.
Olivia drew her eyebrows together in confusion before looking at Steve with concerned eyes, but when he looked at her too, she only could look away at Jonathan.
"And we'd just like to take a look. You know, as... connoisseurs of art." Steve stated, looking at Olivia then back at the light-haired boy.
"Okay, what are you talking about, Steve?" Olivia had enough skeptisism, and was getting annoyed by the possy which looked like Steve was leading.
After Jonathan stated that he didn't know what the group was talking about, he tried leaving past them to his car but Tommy quickly pulled his bag off of his arm, causing Jonathan to quickly spin back around. "Please give me my bag. No, Just..."
"Steve! What's going on?" Olivia tried to talk to her best friend, but he was too concerned about the Byers brother. After the boy continued to plead, Tommy only threw his nag to Steve, who gladly caught it while giving his best friend a glance.
"Man, he is totally trembling. He must really have something to hide." Steve turned around torwards the car before opening the bag and deliberatly going through his things. Eventually, the brunette pulled out a small stack of photos and rummaging through them. Olivia noticed everyone's shocked expressions, causing her to quickly walk over to Steve's side and beginning to observe the photos taken by Jonathan.
