Onika looked out into the crowd with a genuine smile. She could feel tears threatening to fall—tears with a bit of happiness, and sadness. But she allowed them to be released—because she's been working so damn hard these past 2 months.

So many flowers were thrown, and her heart warmed when she saw her mother smile with pride. She looked over to the side of the stage to see Robyn proudly clapping—while Beyoncé—was staring.

As if she was in some trance.

Onika looked away from them for a second—and she met eyes with someone.

Her own eyes widened, because she recognized this person. She looked into the mono-lids of the woman who was settled into the crowd—and she looked a little surprise that Onika recognized her. Onika saw how she immediately attempted to get away.

Onika gulped, she wanted to get off stage. Desperately. She felt an adrenaline rush through her—but she couldn't just leave in a hurry. The clapping dialed down once the curtains closed painfully slow. She moved and pushed past Robyn and Beyoncé, the two looking at her in bewilderment.

"Oni—you did really good—are you okay though?" Robyn asked from behind her and Onika nodded as she hurriedly moved in her laced up high heels. "Who the hell moves this fast in heels?" Robyn asked and Beyoncé wondered the same thing. Why was Onika moving so fast?

Onika exited through the back door of the stage and entered the main hallway of the venue they were in, she moved so fast that Robyn and Beyoncé had lost her. They found their way to the hallway as well, but they didn't see Onika. They were only presented with expensive art on the walls and dim lights. They both looked at each other in confusion.

Just then, another body had appeared next to both of them. Apparently looking for Onika as well. They had come in between Beyoncé and Robyn.

The blonde and the raven haired girl looked between them. Robyn rolled her eyes and Beyoncé looked at her with surprise. "Why are you here Kehlani?" Robyn asked. The lighter skinned girl rolled her own dark brown eyes and looked at Robyn. "For your information I was invited by the family. You know? The people that actually like me?" She asked shading Robyn.

"I'd fuck you up if this wasn't Onikas night." Robyn claimed, looking Kehlani up and down with a scoff.  Beyoncé didn't exactly know how to feel about Kehlani, but Robyn and Onika didn't exactly like her.

Suddenly a cheery voice appeared, "Robyn! Kehlani! Oh and Beyoncé, hi girls! Did you guys enjoy the show?" Carol asked smiling, Robyn and Beyoncé nodded. "She did amazing Ms. Maraj." Kehlani said with a large smile while hugging Carol. Robyn leaned next to Beyoncé and whispered, "She's such a snake."  She mumbled.

Coming from behind Carol was Onikas father, no one other than Robert. He looked at Robyn and scoffed, he looked at Kehlani and gave a small smile, and looked at Beyonce with curiosity. He stuck his hand out and Beyoncé immediately shook it, she didn't want to seem rude. The last thing she needed was him disliking her.

She was slightly nervous, but she didn't want that to get to her. "I'm Beyoncé Knowles." She introduced herself and he smiled a bit, "It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Robert Maraj. Onikas father, you were the one that taught Onika piano correct?" He asked and Beyoncé nodded. "Yes, sir."  He hummed, "Good job. I know It must have been—a challenge." He stated and Beyoncé felt a twinge of annoyance appear within her.

It was a challenge teaching Onika, but only because he head to teach her within 2 months all while learning a song. But she couldn't help but feel as if he was talking about something else. As if Onika wasn't capable of being easily taught.
