Alina came running up in her night dress, it hung low on her chest and short on her legs. She didnt look happy and sandor swallowed the lump in his throat as she approached.
'Youre leaving?' She questioned incredulously. 'Youre leaving me?'
'I dont have a choice' Sandor told her.
'When were you going to tell me? Or were you just going to disappear and I was never going to see you again?' She asked putting her hands on her hips
'I'm sorry,' he murmured
'Sorry? You're sorry? You really gonna leave that saying bye?' Alina yelled.
'I don't wanna go. I have to. I'm so sorry, Killer.' Sandor told her. this was the heartbreak he wanted to avoid.
'Why make me fall in love with you if you were just going to leave?' She asked them softly
'Oh Alina I'm so sorry.' Sandor told her. Wrapping his hands around her head running his fingers through her hair. 'Im so sorry. If i didnt have to go i wouldnt.' He assured her.
'Do i mean that little to you?'
'No, no you mean everything to me.' sandor told her
'So little that you were going to run away and i was going to have to hear about to from tywin or tyrion that you had left and were never coming back!' She shouted at him slapping at his chest.
'Im sorry...' he whisper pulling her closer.
'Is that really all you have to say? Im sorry?' She questioned tears spilling down her cheeks
'I dont know what else to say love.' Sandor told her.
'Was it a lie?' Alina spat pulling away from him.
'What?'
'You never cared. Did you?' Alina questioned
'No no alina i... I...' he what? Did he have the strength to admit it? He was leaving and was probably never to see her again. It wasnt a lie. But the trust seemed harder he told her a different truth instead. 'I care about you.'
'Not enough to tell me the truth' she whispered.
I love you. Say the words. Say it he demanded himself but they wouldnt come. For the past almost 7 years now... Gods it been that long.... it felt like yesterday and a hundred years ago.' He told her. 'Since i met you when you were just 9... you asked me if i wanted to be your friend. Do you remember that?' She nodded stiffly. 'Being your friend has been the best years of my life. I mean that will my whole heart 'love.''
'And last night?' Alina questioned
'I should have told you.' He admitted.
'Why didnt you?'
'Those eyes,' he told her cupping a large hand at her cheek wiping away stray tears. 'Those eyes looking at me made me forget. Made me just want you. I wasnt thinking about today. I just wanted you Alina.'
'You should've told me.' Alina informed him.
'I know.' He admitted.
'I still wouldve wanted you.' She told him. 'Dont go.' She pleaded.
'I don't have a choice.' He kept reminded her but it was like she couldn't hear it.
'I dont want you to go sandor!' Alina pleaded clinging to him.
'Im sorry killer. I dont have a choice.' Sandor told her
'But they dont need you. I need you!' Alina informed him and he dropped down to his knee pulling her to him.
'I would much rather stay here with you but i dont have a choice Killer. Im sorry.'
'Sandor-'
'I wish I could love you better. You deserve better.' He kissed her one last time before getting on his horse and taking off he didn't look back to see the tears falling from her face as he left, he couldn't bare that he was the reason for her tears. A blizzard poured down around them, freezing the rock.
