Jungkook peeked at Gguk, who was picking a flower not far from Jungkook. Gguk insisted on picking a bouquet of flowers out for Jungkook, which melted his heart. No one had ever gotten him flowers before, which was a shame since Jungkook adored the pretty plants. He also adored nature and all it had to offer. The healthy blades of grass reaching up and tickling his covered ankles, threatening to peek through the leather of his boots and caress his bare skin. The rays of sun coming down and highlighting Gguk's gorgeous smile. The people who were out and about because of the clear weather.

Jungkook didn't like crowds of people, but he did like seeing people happy. Part of that came from watching the kids run after each other while playing games, and the parents observing them while they spoke about adult things. Jungkook wasn't sure if he identified more in the kid or adult territory. He was an adult based on his age, but it felt as though much of his childhood was devoted to the future. It was like he didn't get much chance to mature. Regardless, he was happy for the most part. Of course the migration was difficult, but he had Gguk and his friends. That was more than many of the others could say.

"Kook!" a male voice called. A male voice that wasn't Gguk's.

Jungkook averted his eyes from the one he loved and was greeted by another pleasant sight: his best friend. Taehyung waved and came by Jungkook, kneeling by his side and stretching out his arms. Jungkook hopped into them and gave the man a side-hug, giving him a squeeze he was happy to return.

"What's going on?" Jungkook asked, Taehyung shrugging.

"Don't look now, but Jimin's coming this way."

"He's allowed out of his house? I thought he was heavily injured after getting stabbed in the shoulder."

"You're telling me," Tae said, whistling after. "Sometimes I wish that man would take a break, but that'd be hypocritical. None of us ever take a break. I only just got away from the farm. Good news is that our food supply is on course to booming. We'll never have to worry about rationing or famine for the foreseeable future. What about your end of things, hm? How's the spy doing with his interrogations?" Right as Taehyung finished his speech, Jimin casually sat down by Tae's side, shooting them a greeting they returned before Jungkook answered.

"It's exhausting having to do so many in such a short amount of time. So far, we got information out of Sebastian saying the rest of his kingdom may come for them, but according to Adamma, there's not much of a kingdom left. Should be an easy battle if there even was one, I got the impression the only people they have left are commoners, not knights. Namjoon is focusing on Sebastian, I'm going for Adamma and the other knights. Not to mention Hoseok is having me help with the knight training. Lots of work, but that's expected after an attack."

Taehyung couldn't help but agree, so Jungkook dipped his head and glanced out at the terrain. He saw where Gguk was, the man kneeling and picking at the grass beneath him. Taehyung nudged Jungkook's side, and Jungkook became flustered, rubbing the back of his neck as his forehead pooled with beads of moisture that dripped down his face. Even Jimin was biting back a snicker.

"You're so in love."

"Shut up," Jungkook mumbled, resisting the urge to cover Tae's mouth with his hand. Taehyung laughed, Jungkook following after a beat and going back to observing his love. Gguk gathered enough flowers to make a bouquet, and he came stumbling over, almost tripping in the process. "Welcome back."

Gguk flashed a grin and handed the flowers off to Jungkook. He took them and held them close to his chest, taking in the scent. So, this was what love was like. He finally knew. Now since he had it, he never wanted to lose it. Jungkook held Gguk by the waist and whispered his thanks, the shorter man keeping his grin. It was perfect. Or, it was until the ground shook, Jungkook nearly dropping the flowers.
