Chapter 7: The First Official Flight

One morning Stoick finally returned but there were only a few ships and they were all damaged and burned, the Vikings that stayed on Berk helped everyone to get off the ships

Stoick also got off the ship to talk with Gobber "I trust you found the nest at least" Gobber said "Not even close" Stoick said

"Uh, excellent" Gobber said sarcastically

"I hope you had better success than me" Stoick said

"Well, if by success you mean that you parenting troubles are over then yes" Gobber said, this made Stoick froze confused

"Congratulations Stoick everyone is so relived!" a Viking women said "Out with the old and in with the new" a Viking man said "The village is throwing a party to celebrate" another Viking man said

"He's gone?" Sotick asked still confused

"Yeah, he and Blake have been disappearing all afternoons, but who can blame them? The life of celebrities is hard they can't even walk without being bothered by their new fans" Gobber said happy

"Hiccup and Blake?" Stoick asked in shock "Yeah! Those two really have talent with the beasts" Gobber said

Stoick said nothing but for the first time in years he felt proud for his son

Hiccup and Blake were at the cove getting ready for the first official flight of Toothless and Thunder

"Ok we are ready" Hiccup said getting on Toothless' back

"I hope this works but are you sure that you'll be able to memorize the steps to control the tail?" Blake asked getting on Thunder's back

"Yes, I'm sure but I think the real question is. Do you think that Thunder will be able to fly?" Hiccup asked "As long as he doesn't push himself too far, he'll be ok" Blake said

A few minutes later Hiccup and Blake were flying over the ocean on their respective dragons "Ok bud we are going to take this nice and slow" Hiccup said looking at the sheet where the positions were written

"Us too Thunder nice and slow" Blake said

"Uh, position three no four" Hiccup said moving his foot making the tail open, Thunder didn't want to stay behind so he started to fly faster

"Okay, Thunder seems like you wing has healed very well" Blake said

"Alright" Hiccup said "Let's so this" Blake finished, when the dragons heard that the immediately dive into the sea stopping some inches above it

Everything was going until Hiccup made Toothless crash with a sea stack "Ah, sorry" Hiccup apologized but they immediately crash with other sea stack "That was my fault"

Blake saw everything and he was trying his best to not to laugh

Toothless slapped Hiccup's face with one of his ears "Ouch!" Hiccup said rubbing his cheek

"Alright I get it, position four no three" Hiccup said

"Ok Thunder let's see what you got" Blake said the dragons roared in excitement and started to fly up into the sky

"Yeah!" Hiccup cheered "Let's go!" Blake also cheered "This is amazing" Blake said "I know right the wind on my-" before Hiccup could finish a wave of air that make the sheet were the positions were "Cheat sheet nooooooo!"

To make things worse the harness clipped off and now Hiccup and Toothless started to scream while falling "HICCUP!" Blake yelled and he and Thunder tried to catch them but Toothless was spinning in the air he accidentally hit Blake making him fall as well
