Chapter 8: Secrets Revealed

The next day Hiccup, Astrid and Blake were at the arena fighting the Gronkle, this was the final test before one of them was chosen to kill the Monstrous Nightmare the next day

The three of them were hiding from the Gronkle behind some wooden barricades, Astrid looked at the Gronkle and then she looked back at Hiccup and Blake

"Stay out of my way, I'm winning this" Astrid said

"Good please by all means" Hiccup said (who was now wearing his new helmet) before looking at his father and gave him an awkward simile

"This time, this time for sure" Astrid said then she charged directly at the Grockle letting out a battle cry but for her surprise the Gronkle was on the ground next to Hiccup, that made audience cheer up for Hiccup

"NO! Son of a half troll, rat eating, sludge bucket!" Astrid said swinging around her axe completely furious for being defeated by Hiccup

"Uh later" Hiccup said trying to get away as soon as possible from there

"Not so fast" Gobber said pulling Hiccup with his hook

"Um, Blake and I are a little late for-" Hiccup was interrupted by Astrid who putting the tip of her axe at Hiccup's throat

"What! You're late for what exactly?" Astrid demanded but Blake put his sword on Astrid's neck with a cold look on his face ready to chop Astrid's head off, if necessary, then Stoick decided to intervene

"Alright quiet now the elder has decide" he said, Hiccup, Astrid and Blake made a line in front of Gobber, he put his hook on top of Astrid's head but Gothi shook her head, then he did the same with Blake but Gothi also shook her head

Then Gobber pointed at Hiccup with his hand and Gothi nodded, Hiccup and Blake looked at each other with worried faces knowing what that means

"You've done it! You get to kill the dragon" Gobber cheered and Hiccup was put on Fishlegs shoulder "That's my boy!" Stoick also cheered

"Yeah, I can't wait, so I'm..."

"Leaving" Hiccup said, he and Blake were at the cove Hiccup had a basket with some of his things, Blake also have a basket with more supplies and his sword "We're leaving let's pack up, looks than the four of us are taking a little vacation...forever"

Hiccup looked at Blake "I don't want to drag you into this, you already have a life here at Berk" Hiccup said

"Hiccup I already told you I'm not leaving my best friend for nothing, besides while we are out there, we could find the tribe where I came from" Blake said

"Thanks Blake" Hiccup said with a smile "No problem" Blake said

Hiccup placed his basket on the ground looking if he got everything they needed, but when he looked up again there was Astrid

"Ah! What the-" Hiccup said walking backwards "What are you doing here?"

"I want to know what's going on" Astrid said jumping of the rock she was sitting

"No one gets as good as you, especially you now start talking! Are you training with someone?" Astrid asked

"I know this looks bad but you see the thing is...uh" Hiccup said trying to get near Astrid who only pushed him away

"You're right, you're right, I'm done with the lies, I've been making...outfits so there you have it time for everyone to know drag me back go ahead" Hiccup said but Astrid twisted his arm making Hiccup all on the ground "Ow! Why would you do that?"
