Chapter 12: The new Berk and a Nightmare or a Memory

It's been some time since the battle with the Red Death, Hiccup was lying on his bed with Toothless watching over him

Hiccup was starting to wake up and the first thing he saw was Toothless "Hey to you too Toothless" Hiccup said while Toothless was licking him "I'm happy to see you too- AHG!" Hiccup suddenly screamed when Toothless stepped on Hiccup's stomach

But that made Hiccup look around noticing that he was in his house "I-I'm in my house? You are in my house, does dad know you're here?" Hiccup asked

Toothless didn't pay attention to what Hiccup was saying since he was jumping around in the house

"Aw Toothless come on" Hiccup said taking of the blanket he had but he noticed something... he now had a metal foot Toothless quickly jumped off near Hiccup sniffing Hiccup's new leg

"Toothless what was all that noise?" a voice said, Hiccup looked to the direction where the voice came, Blake entered the room and he froze when he saw Hiccup awake

"Blake?" Hiccup asked "HICCUP!" Blake yelled running towards Hiccup giving him a hug "Ouch! Blake that's too tight" Hiccup said

"Sorry" Blake said breaking the hug "It's just that the last time I saw you awake we almost died fighting a giant dragon"

"Blake...What happened to my leg?" Hiccup asked

"Well after you all unconscious Toothless dived into the fire to save you but he wasn't able to save you completely" Blake explained, Hiccup looked at Toothless and he had a sad face

"It's okay, bud" Hiccup said petting Toothless' head "You did what you could"

"Well, you weren't the only one who lost something in the fight" Blake said "What do you mean?" Hiccup asked looking back at Blake

That's when Hiccup noticed something, Blake has black eyes but his left eye looked grey and lifeless "What happened to your eye?" Hiccup asked

"When Toothless caught you me and Thunder dived trying to catch you but some fire mas able to reach my eye, now I'm one eye blind"

"I'm sorry that I've dragged you into all this mess" Hiccup said feeling guilty

"It's ok I'll get used to it eventually" Blake said putting a comforting hand on Hiccup's shoulder "But there's something that you got to see the village has changed a lot in your time out"

After that Hiccup stood up but when he tried to walk with his metal foot a wave on pain appeared on Hiccup's leg almost making him fall but Toothless and Blake were able to catch him "Thanks guys"

They slowly walked all the way up to the door and Hiccup opened it just to see a Monstrous Nightmare outside roaring directly at him, Hiccup closed the door scared taking deep breaths "Hey, it's okay" Blake said "That's part of what I wanted to show you"

That confused Hiccup so he opened the door again and then he realized that Snotlout was riding his Monstrous Nightmare

"Come on guys get ready and here we go" Snotlout said getting away in his dragon followed by Fishlegs and the twins on their dragons

Hiccup was confused but when he stepped outside of his house, he saw Berk filled with dragons and the Vikings were getting along with them

"I knew it. I'm dead" Hiccup said not believing what he was seeing "No but you gave it your best shot" Stoick said getting close to his son "So what do you think?"

"Hey look Hiccup and Blake" a Viking said making all of the near Vikings run at them

"Turns out that all we needed was a little more of...this" Stoick said gesturing Hiccup and Blake "You just gestured all of us" Hiccup and Blake said, Sotick only nodded with a smile
