-COME COME (Y/N), you can't look!

Covering my eyes with my right hand, Ellie insisted on showing me something "surreal" and begged me to join her for weeks. I climbed a mountain with her, but how could I deny an agreement to see her express happiness on her face as I walked to the place she wanted to show me?

- Can I withdraw my hand now?

- Wait just a little longer - She held my other hand guiding me to that place.

- Okay, you can look now!

I discovered my eyes and now I could see:

- Wow... No way!

Surprise sketched across my face at what I had just seen. She found a gigantic arcade! in the place there were some machines that still worked and drawings painted on the wall. Outside there was a rustic wooden bench and on the horizon, the panoramic view of Jackson and your mountains, the sky remained blue with scattered clouds, it was simply magnificent!

- How did we not discover this place before?-I asked still surprised - And why the hell do you have an arcade on a mountain?

- I was with Tommy and Joel trying to find supplies and we went up here with the horses, I was impressed when I saw this place. I asked Joel the same and he said that it is part of the Hotel that is next to the arcade, Tommy said that it was a well known place and frequented by people for Tourism!

That's right, I hadn't noticed that Arcade was connected to the hotel... I thought. - It's like us! - I entered the place, running my fingertips delicately under the buttons of the machines. - Mortal kombat?- I tilted my head to read what was written on one of them.

- What's up? Is the challenge still standing? - Ellie said, with a defiant face pressing the buttons of the machine clearly inviting me to a battle.

- I never undid it - I replied with a defiant smile - I will massacre you!

- That's what we're going to see!

We spent hours and hours playing until tiredness took over. I admit that Ellie was really very skilled. I had Win a few times but there was no way, she just blew me away! She was very good with these things, I wonder if she played it once, it was my first.

- BOOOOOOO! ELLIE WINS ONCE AGAIN! IS THAT YOU? YOU LOST! WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO NOW BEAUTIFUL GIRL? - She raised her arms in celebration of her victory.

- I... I admit, you're the best...

- I KNEW IT! HUH...

- BUUUTT - I cut your words - ONE DAY...! One day, I'm going to ask for revenge and I'll finish you off! Will you be ready for this Little girl? - I let a smile escape in my face.

- That's what we're going to see!

- Come here silly - I traced my arm around her neck, deciding to explore a little more the rest of the place with her.

While we were telling jokes and laughing at nonsense, I ended up noticing some leaves that didn't seem strange to me...

- Hey hey, Ellie look at this! - I ran towards what I had seen, undoing the shoulder hug and bent over to show what I had found.

- WOWWW Y/N, you are very lucky! - Ellie said opening a smile on her face and taking the HQ from my hand.

- Maybe we both are! - By chance, we found a mini pile of HQ under the weathered counter. There were countless... looks like Ellie and I will have a lot to talk about this week! We collected them all and headed straight out of the arcade heading towards the old bench and sitting on it. We remained enjoying the landscape of Jackson with the sun almost setting, beams of light were emitted due to the rays that lurked in the leaves of the trees.

- Man, we were very lucky to have found these comics, I hadn't explored this place so much yet! - Ellie leafed, still excited, the HQ that was in her hands.

- Thanks to you who found this place! Thanks for introducing me, I thought it was really amazing Ellie, I think this is going to be our Place ! - I lay on the bench, and watched the sky with half-closed eyes because of the lighting...

Ellie turned and faced me with her eyebrows arched at me.

- Our place?

-Yes, let's stay here when we need to forget a little about this damn world we're living in!

- Hmm, that's not a bad idea! And to think that I had to beg a lot for you to come here with me, right? Someone could have gotten the comics before us!

- Hahaha like who? A clicker?

- Sure, maybe they get bored someday... you know, eating people, grunting, and want to have some fun? - Ellie laughed softly at the bad joke she had made.

And then... We chatted and laughed and told jokes until the sun went down...
