Chapter 41: Chained

As Taehyung stands at the helm of the ship, the wind rustles through his hair, and sea salt sticks to his skin. He quietly watches as the others decide who will stay and take care of the Southern Kingdom while the rest go North. He knows that he should be helping them, but he cannot stop thinking about Jungkook and where he is.

"Taehyung, are you ready to go?" Namjoon asks as he joins him at the helm.

"I am." Taehyung nods and grips the ship wheel.

"Ida and Alvara are going to stay behind to take care of things here. Yoonseo wants to come with us." Namjoon explains as the others begin boarding Hurricane.

"Ok." 

"Do you know why Jungkook named this ship 'Hurricane'?" Namjoon softly asks as the crew begins unfurling the sails.

Taehyung silently shakes his head as he watches the main sail catch the wind.

"It's because you were the hurricane that came sweeping into his lonely life." Namjoon softly answers with a kind smile.

"I'm the hurricane." Taehyung whispers as a tear streaks down his face.

"We will tear down the heavens and save him. Fear not." Jin smiles as he and the others walk over to the crying nymph.

"Of course we will. We are the Jeon Pirates!" Jackson shouts as their flag proudly flies in the wind.

"We go NORTH!" Namjoon shouts at the top of his lungs.

"NORTH!" The rest shout and raise their weapons as Odine summons a current to push them north.

"Is Alana staying in the South?" Taehyung asks Odine when he sees him alone.

"She is. Her family is here, so they will be able to care for her during her pregnancy." Odine smiles as he joins Taehyung.

"I am sorry that you are having to leave her and your baby." Taehyung whispers and looks down.

"It's ok. I will do whatever I have to to save Captain." Odine answers and pats Taehyung's shoulder.

"Everything will turn out for the best in the end." Taehyung sniffles and smiles at Odine.

When Jungkook opens his eyes, pain sears through his body. The god tries to move but finds that he is chained between two large pillars by the wrists in a dungeon located in the deepest depths of the sea. He tries to use his powers to gain a sense of his surroundings, but is electrocuted in return. Jungkook quietly groans in pain as his body goes limp.

As Jungkook begins to mourn being separated from his lover, a glowing pink flower floats in front of him. He smiles and tries to reach out for the flower because he knows that it is from Taehyung, but the chains hold him back.

"Please stay." Jungkook whispers to the flower. The moment that Jungkook whispers, Taehyung's deep, soothing voice floats through the cold sea, telling Jungkook that he is coming.

Jungkook smiles and suddenly finds the urge to fight. I have to free myself. I need to go to my Tae. He needs me. My Tae needs me.

Jungkook fights the chains binding him to the depths of the sea; even though, excruciating pain shoots through him.

"You are just as brutish as I thought." A mocking voice rings around the young god.

"And you are just as pathetic as I remember." Jungkook hisses as he glares at the god in front of him.
