As the king stayed in the clan, Taehyung would roll his eyes every time he heard one of them complain about the clan's simple life.
Taehyung and the others keep disappearing into the forest and go to the cabin to practice their skills. Taehyung always borrows one of their swords as he practices his swordsmanship. They always gasp in awe whenever he does something highly skillful.
As the days go by, Taehyung grows healthier and stronger. They all watch with smiles as a healthy glow finally kisses his cheeks. The king of the Central Kingdom visiting them is keeping others from attacking them which is giving Taehyung the time he needs to recover.
One day, Taehyung decides to try out some of the fire skills he remembers, but he uses them to summon snow. He smiles as snow begins to swirl around him at his command. He prefers snow to fire. Snow isn't as deadly as fire. He feels like the fire is a dark side of himself that he does not wish to touch.
"Snow during the spring. That's not suspicious at all." Yeajin mutters as she watches Taehyung play in the snow.
"Let him play." Seojoon chuckles and enjoys Taehyung's rare laughter.
They all freeze in shock when they hear the horn of war being blown from the mountain top. This horn has not blown for over a hundred years. Taehyung looks at the three in confusion as he feels their slight fear.
"Who is attacking?" Taehyung asks as he stops playing.
"The people from the mountain. They do not speak the same language as us and are much larger. They crave human flesh. Captain builds the clan with freed slaves to protect the clan from these monsters. They haven't attacked at all since we've been here. Captain just told stories about them to us." Seojoon explains as they mount their horses.
"I thought that was a children's story to scare us and keep us out of the mountains!" Taehyung shrieks as they ride back to the clan.
"Everyone apparently thought that until they attacked. Luckily, Captain has been here for the three times they attacked. But, he's not here." Minho explains with worry in his eyes.
"It's ok! I promised to protect the clan while he is gone!" Taehyung yells to them as they ride into the clan.
"Let's go hunt some monsters!" Ida yells to her archers and swordsmen as they mount up and face the mountains.
"Fighting children's stories is kind of frightening!" Taehyung yells to Seojoon as they ride towards the mountain at full speed.
Seojoon responds with a laugh then turns his focus towards the mountain. As they near the base of the mountain, Taehyung's eyes begin to glow blue and a deep hum vibrates through the air.
The king and his men riding with them to fight off the monsters look at Taehyung in surprise. However, the clan smiles with excitement as they hear the soft hum in the air. The nymphs of the winter sky are the ones they worship and pray to.
Taehyung closes his eyes and listens to the haggard breathing and shouting of the enemy attackers as they run down the mountain.
"Save the guard!" Taehyung yells as he opens his eyes and spots the clan's guard riding his horse down the icy mountain as quickly as possible.
Ida quickly draws her bow and aims for the head of the enemy charging towards the guard that Taehyung pointed out. Taehyung gasps in horror as the enemy stumbles then stands up with an arrow imbedded in his skull and keeps charging forward.
"How did Jungkook defeat them?!" Taehyung asks Seojoon as they keep charging forwards.
"He lured them to the ocean and summoned a hurricane! His only strength is the sea and the sky above the sea! His power only stretches so far onto land!" Seojoon explains as they begin to climb the mountain.
