🔞 Chapter 20: Until the End of Time

"Jungkook!" Taehyung gasps for air as he sits up in excruciating pain. A pained scream leaves his lips as he feels his body burn with an intense fire.

"Taehyung!" Seojoon yells as he walks into Taehyung's room.

"It hurts." Taehyung gasps out as he goes limp in Seojoon's arms.

"It's ok. You're ok." Seojoon softly tells Taehyung.

"I'm ok." Taehyung sighs after a few minutes and lies back down.

"Is it because your soul is fighting?" Seojoon asks as he pulls the blanket back over Taehyung.

"I think so." Taehyung mumbles and runs his fingers through his hair.

"You'll be ok. Jungkook will still love you no matter which soul wins the fight." Seojoon softly tells Taehyung as he sits down next to him.

Taehyung smiles and closes his eyes as he feels sleep taking over. Once Taehyung is asleep, Seojoon walks out of the room and heads to his room. As he walks to his room, Taehyung suddenly bolts out of his room and out of the lodge.

Taehyung sprints towards the water as he feels the familiar pull. His legs move faster and faster as he feels the familiar wind blowing off of the water. He can hear the heartbeat he has been longing to hear. The scent he has craved is lingering in the air.

"Jungkook!" Taehyung calls out when he sees a man walking up the beach.

The man opens his arms when he sees the archer racing towards him as if being carried by the wind.

"Tae." Jungkook lovingly whispers as he catches his lover in his arms.

"You're here. You're really here." Taehyung sobs as he looks into Jungkook's eyes.

As Jungkook looks at Taehyung, he realizes that he has been gone longer than he thought. Taehyung's white hair is down to his waist and is blowing in the wind. Tears stream down Jungkook's face as he feels the braids in Taehyung's hair and sees the tattoos decorating his skin.

"How long was I gone?" Jungkook cries as he holds Taehyung's hands to his lips.

"Five years." Taehyung sniffles and buries his face in Jungkook's chest.

"I thought it was only a few months." Jungkook whispers as he looks at Taehyung with so much sadness.

"It doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is that you are here with me." Taehyung smiles and closes his eyes as Jungkook's hand cradles his face.

"I am here, and I'm never leaving again." Jungkook lovingly whispers and places his forehead against Taehyung's.

They stand in each other's arms and cry as the waves gently kiss their ankles. Taehyung smiles as he listens to the happy voice of the sea. He knows it is rejoicing that its prince has returned.

When Taehyung opens his eyes, he sees Jungkook loving, sea grey eyes gazing at him like he is the most precious treasure in the entire world. Jungkook softly kisses Taehyung and places a hand on the back of Taehyung's head and the other hand on the small of Taehyung's back.

Taehyung hums into the kiss as he opens his mouth and lets Jungkook's tongue gently taste him. Neither want to pull away from the kiss as they pull each other tighter. When Jungkook finally pulls away, he softly looks into Taehyung's eyes then gently pecks his lips.

"Your eyes are gorgeous." Jungkook whispers as he admires the two different colors.

"I have something to tell you." Taehyung nervously mumbles as he looks into Jungkook's eyes.
