Wings of Fire Fanfiction: The Watchers

Chapter 10

Qibli gave Moon a puzzled look, but shrugged after she gave him a dumb blank response. He quickly turned his attention to Winter who was now chilling and scrolling through an old Talk of the Talons magazine that he had found by his bedside.

Winter snickered as he read the old news. He looked amusedly at Moon and Qibli,

"These guys thought that a quarrel of a few queens was bad, huh couldn't imagine these guys with Darkstalker." Moon hadn't been paying attention so when she heard Darkstalker her head snapped up.

"WHAT ABOUT DARKSTALKER?!"

She didn't mean to yell, but she did nevertheless. Which caused Qibli and Winter to look at her weirdly. She smiled awkwardly and tried to play it off,

"I mean what about Darkstalker? He is gone with the wind thanks to our amazing super hero team!" Qibli and Winter were still suspicious so (with caution) they smiled at her and nodded.

"Anyway, Winter, how on earth are you injured?" Qibli asked with as much confusion as he could produce in his tone. Winter looked at him weirdly for a few seconds before he caught on.

"Oh umm ya I don't really know. However what I could guess was that when I fell or technically came back to reality the transition either bumped me into something or I was floating and fell from the sky." 

He tried to be as honest as possible with Qibli, but he had a rough time considering the fact that Qibli doesn't know the whole story, and besides he couldn't share all of his theories. Not with Moon around anyway.

"Well the second one makes more sense to me rather than the first one because, I wouldn't really make sense if it threw you against the wall." Qibli said with a hint of sarcasm in his tone. He smiled at Moon and looked at Winter again.  

"Do you think that you would be up for some flying or are really hurt?" Qibli said amusedly. Winter was confused about what he meant, but after he thought about it he realized that he actually wasn't that injured he must have just had after shock.  He put on a smirk which was Winter's form of a grin.  

"Ya I suppose I can go for a fly." Moon looked at the both of them sighed and said,

"Well we don't wanna miss the opening do we?" They all laughed and said nope. 

As they made their way out the door they found Turtle and Kinkajou sitting together on one of the old beds.  Kinkajou had her head rested on Turtle's shoulder.  When he saw them come out he shushed them and mouthed, She is asleep!

Moon and Qibli sighed while Winter just snickered at the Turtlejou seen before him. Qibli mouthed back saying, We are going to the museum. You need to wake her up. 

Turtle started shaking his head rapidly with fear in his now big eyes, If I wake her up she will be so embarrassed! 

Moon leaned over and whispered something in Qibli's ear.  His eyebrows shot up, but they went back down to make his face have an amused  look. He smiled and mouthed back, Okay we will go, but don't forget to wake her up. She would be more mad to find out that you hadn't woken her up.

Turtle sighed and nodded his understanding and mouthed thank you to them.  As they made their way towards the main entrance Winter snuck over and whispered to Turtle,

"I ship you guys." Turtle's eyes went big and he swallowed he reluctantly whispered back, 

"Thanks I guess." Little did they both know, Kinkajou had woken up a long time ago.  She smiled in her "sleep" and snuggled closer to Turtle.  He sighed and happily rested his head on her shoulder.

A/N: First off, HAPPY CANADA DAY! For all of those Canadians out there.  It is so weird that it is already July. 

Second, as you can imagine I am ungrounded and got you guys a small chapter.  (With a little Turtlejou :)) I hope you guys liked it I hopefully will be posting more considering it is summer! Comment on what your favourite ship(s) are in WoF and maybe I will add them, you never know.
