"Are you ready?" Matteo asks as he knocks on the bathroom door.
"Yeah! In a second." She says as finished putting the jeans on.
"So where are we going?" She asks as she opens the door.
"You'll know it soon." He says as they walk out of the room.
"Will we meet Taylor?" She asks him full of hope.
Matteo just looks at her and avoids her questions. As Leora wants to ask him once again about Taylor, Matteo's phone is ringing. Leora just sighs as Matteo answers the phone in another language that she didn't understand. Just how many languages that he can speak? And until when he will avoid talking about Taylor like this. Did something bad happen to Taylor that makes him feel guilty until he doesn't want to talk about her? Her mind is in a jumble right now. She can help to be overthinking.
She doesn't even realize when they are already in front of the mansion. There are some bodyguards in the front of the mansion and one of them already waiting in front of the car to open the door for them.
"Buonasera Capo, signora Capo." The driver says as he opened the door.
"Grazie." She says as they get in the car.
"Done calling?" She asks as she sees him done calling.
"Hmm." He mumbles answering her.
"Now can you tell me?" She says as she gets close to him.
"Stop asking will you." He grumbles and pushes her to her seat.
"Fine." She sulks and watches the city view from the car window.
The rest of the ride is full of silence. They don't have something to talk about. Or maybe Leora is just tired of making conversation with him and Matteo is too busy with his own world. With no time they already arrived at the place.
Leora looks around, and the place they stopped is a similar building like a bar or something like a casino. But she doesn't surprise at all, since she knows his background. What she's scared of is, that she meets some harlot that he has. She doesn't know what to do.
They enter the place as some people rush through the front door to greet them. Surely with power in his hand, everyone will curry to his side and respect him like this. She feels like a cool scene in the movie when they walk in into the building. She can't hide her smug face when she sees such crowds welcoming her. Well, technically they're welcoming the Don and the Donna whoever it is.
But as she looks around, she sees someone who looks like Taylor. She's so sure that it is Taylor, but she can't just run after her, so Leora is just following Matteo and waiting for a chance to chase after her. Leora and Matteo go to the top floor. As soon as the elevator open, she tries to get away. She excuses herself to the bathroom and does some business there, to avoid any suspicions from Matteo. When she comes out after a couple of minutes, she collides with someone.
"I'm sorry," Leora says.
"Leora?" The person asks.
As Leora looks up to see the person, she had never felt luckier in her entire life. Without thinking she runs into her and hugs her tightly. She almost cries as she hugs her. She looks up and checks her body if she sees any injuries in her. All her actions make Taylor laugh and hug her tighter.
"Hey, I'm okay." Taylor says.
"But I saw your picture, and your body is heavily injured. I can't even recognize you anymore. Matteo even sends us your ring finger." Leora says as she stares at her empty ring finger.
"It's okay, it's in the past." Taylor casually says.
"How?! How can you even say that so casually?" Leora looks at Taylor in agony.
"Well I pay for my crime, and the Don gives me another chance." She says as she drags her out of the bathroom.
"Well, I see you both already meet," Matteo says as soon as he sees them walking to the meeting room.
"Don." Taylor says to Matteo in respect as soon as she realizes his presence.
Leora just looks at them with complicated emotion. She takes Taylor's hand and drags her to the room leaving Matteo behind. Taylor can't do anything with her hands and just nodded at Matteo helplessly to show some respect and just let Leora drag her to anywhere she likes. Leora pulls one of the chairs for Taylor and sits beside her.
"Why do you never visit us? You know that Charlie is looking for you." She says in serious mode.
"You know that I can't come back, right?" Taylor answered with a sad face.
"How come? What do you mean by you can't come back? There are lots of people waiting for you in there." Leora protested angrily.
"I still have a lot to do here." Taylor smiles weakly at her.
This time Leora doesn't reply or speak another sentence. She just glared at Matteo who sit at the end of the table across them.
"What?" Matteo says as he sees Leora glaring at him.
"It's not the Don faults Leora." Defends Taylor.
"He must be threatening you so that you can't get back," Leora says in a cold tone, still glaring at him.
"Well, I can try to kill her if you want." Say Matteo nonchalantly.
"Don't you dare!" Leora says in a threatening voice.
"Can I explain to her what exactly happens?" Taylor asks Matteo for permission.
Matteo just shook his head, giving no permission. Taylor looks at him in disappointment, if they tell her everything it'll be easy to protect her and end this mission. But she understands how much Matteo loves and cares about Leora. She always there helping Leora finished her mission in these two years' time under Matteo's command. Truthfully it is impossible to be assigned on the mission in two years. But Leora got lucky. She has Matteo to help her on a mission. So that she can get to the next level and take a hard mission like this one.
Taylor herself had to go through 2 years of practice and almost 4 years in the mission just to get an S+ mission that she failed. She knows for sure that the real battle in the field is more dangerous than what Leora was facing.
"What? What are you guys talking about?" Leora asks in suspiciousness.
"You don't have to know about it." Matteo says in a harsh tone.
"You always like that, never really tell me about everything. Ever since you kidnapped me even just for a while you have never really been truthful with me. You always keep me in the dark." Leora says in a sad voice.
"I know that I can't do anything. I'm weak, innocent, and know nothing about the darkness in the world. But I'm stronger now. I can handle almost everything." She says almost shouting.
"Taylor you can leave us," Matteo says to Taylor. Taylor looked at Leora in worry, she hesitantly left the room and leave the couple to handle the situation themselves.
"Why do you tell Taylor to leave?" She protests because she feels more comfortable with Taylor around. Truthfully even though she is already familiar with him, she's scared of him. His scary aura simply can't be ignored.
"You want to know the truth?"
