You were walking through the halls of the jedi temple when you got a call. "Skywalker here," you said "Padawan, we need you to go on a diplomatic mission with Senator Chuchi," your master stated "I'm not exactly a diplomat," you argued "you're protecting her Padawan, not negotiating," he assured "yes Master, I'll head to the senate building now," you sighed and hung up.
You landed your speeder outside the senate building and went inside.
You knocked on the door of Chuchi and soon heard "come in!" you opened the door and saw her at her desk. "I believe I'm your escort," you said "I am under the impression the chancellor said it would be you," Chuchi replied standing up, she walked over and hugged you. "I missed you," she whispered "missed you too," you replied hugging her back.
Now on her ship several senate guards and a few clone troopers were watching every move you made. "Why are you staring at me?" you asked glaring at them "we are making sure you don't make any moves on the senator," a guard replied "in all honesty you have no need to be here, I'm one of the best jedi in the galaxy, so tell me the reason you're even here," you ordered "that is none of your concern Captain," the clone lieutenant replied "I'm giving you an order Lieutenant, tell me the reason you are here," you said "I'm sorry Sir, but I am under strict orders," "and what are those orders? and from who?" you asked "Supreme Chancellor Palpatine," he replied. You glanced at your hand and raised it, you began probing his mind and he started trying to take the pain but was failing, "tell me the truth," you ordered "good... soldiers... follow orders," one whispered and aimed their blaster at you. Your eyes widened and quickly knocked them out with the force, "what happened?!" Chuchi exclaimed as she ran in "this trooper aimed his blaster at Captain Skywalker," the lieutenant explained as he got up.
The trooper was moved to a seat and was put in cuffs. "Trooper, why did you aim your blaster at the captain?" the lieutenant asked "good soldiers follow orders," was the phrase the clone repeated "JEDI!" he snapped and tried to attack you but was quickly grabbed and put back down. "Captain, the senator has asked for your presence," a senate guard said "thank you. Just one moment," you replied, he nodded as you stepped towards the clone "I'm sorry Trooper, but don't worry this is only temporary," you apologised and knocked him out with the force "don't worry he's just unconscious, I'd never kill a clone," you stated and walked out.
"You asked for me Senator?" you said as you walked into her office space "I did, because I wanted to make sure you were alright," she replied with a soft smile "yes, thank you Senator," you chuckled "please, call me Riyo. I think you've earned that," she said. Riyo gestured to a bottle of wine, "would you like some?" she asked "no thanks, I'm meant to be protecting you," you replied. After talking for a while the senator was getting noticeably drunk, "Riyo, you need stop now," you said taking the bottle away from her desk "whyyyy?" she whined "because you need to be ready for your conference," you replied and called in one of her aides. "Make sure that she doesn't drink anymore alcohol and get her ready for the conference," you said, the aide nodded and you left.
You saw the trooper that tried to kill you was awake again. "Trooper, do you remember what happened?" you asked walking in "S-sir? what's going on?" the trooper muttered "what's your name?" you asked as you placed a hand on his shoulder "CT-" "no not your number, your name," you interrupted "well the others call me Brute. Because I run at droids and punch 'em," Brute replied. "Do you remember what happened?" you asked "I-I heard a voice whispering 'execute order 66', then it was as if I was being pulled forward by some force. I was watching what my body was doing, I tried to fight it but couldn't," he stated "once this mission is over I'm taking you to Kamino, maybe more about they know what happened. Do you mind if I run a brain scan in the meantime?" you asked "of course not Sir, if this is able to happen to all my brothers then I want to make sure they're alright," Brute replied. You nodded and brought him to the small medical room of the ship.
You put him on the bed and knocked him out again. You got a handheld scanner and scanned his head on every level. You found something when doing the atomic scans, "what in the force?" you muttered "Lieutenant, I need you in medical," you said into your comm. Soon after he walked in, "Sir, what's going on?" he asked "Brute has something in his head that made him try to kill me, can I scan your head quickly?" you explained "of course Sir," he replied. You did the same scan and a similar result came up "huh, it looks like you both have whatever this thing is, but how come only Brute was affected?" you muttered "do you think the kaminoans had anything to do with it?" the lieutenant asked "I'm going to find out, I promise you that. We have to find out how widespread this is," you said.
