28~Nerves

I take my gaze off her reflection in the mirror as she turns around. The look on her face says that she's confused by my recent comment.

She looks as if she's about to speak but suddenly her knees give out from underneath her and her eyes flutter close. Her hands fly out searching for something to hold onto for support but nothing is of reach.

Before she could make contact with the floor I rush over and pick her petite body up in my arms. 

"Shit" I curse out frantically trying to figure out what to do?

 I quickly take her to her bed and gently place her on there, while searching for my phone to call the family doctor. 

I also realise that I'm only in a pair of briefs and need to wear something but I'll worry about that after I find my phone. 

Successfully fishing my phone out of my slacks pocket I dial the doctors number and let out a sigh of relief when he says that he's on his way here right now. 

I grab my slacks and pull them on while walking into my room to change into something else quickly. 

After I'm done changing I rush back to her room and seeing her like this...does something to me. 

I don't know what it is but it just doesn't sit right with me that she's gone unconscious in front of me and the thought of something bad happening to her.

I'm snapped out of my thoughts when my mother yells through the house asking "perché il dottore è qui?"[why is the doctor here?]

I rub my temples and step out of the room searching for the doctor and my mother. " I called him mama it's fine" I tell her as she comes up the stairs with Alex behind her. 

"What happened? Are you sick?" she asks worriedly and steps forward to place the back of her hand on my forehead. 

"I'm fine mama. It's Sophia she's unconscious" I tell both of them. 

"Oh Dio Mio. Is she okay? Move where is she?" she asks shoving me out the way before hurrying to Sophia's room.

I shake my head and follow after her with the doctor following behind. He enters the room and stares at her unconscious body on the bed. 

Mama is already besides her and she's checking her forehead like she did with mines and she frowns when she see's its fine.

"How long has it been since she's fallen unconscious?" Alex asks me while going round to check up on her. 

"Around 7 minutes" I tell him.  Mama comes round to stand with me with a worried look on her face and we both wait for Alex to tell us what's wrong. 

I look over at mama and I can see she cares about Sophia a lot despite the fact they've only known each other for a while. 

She probably wouldn't care as much if it was Lilah and not gonna lie I don't think I would either. 

I would have never accepted that alliance in the first place actually but my father...I'm not even going to talk about him because he makes my blood boil.

"She's awake" my mother gasps suddenly, which pulls me out of my stance. 

I look towards the bed and see Sophia has opened her eyes now and she's looking around at all the faces flustered. 

"Oh darling. Are you okay?" My mother asks her worry laced in her voice. 

She subtly nods her head and then turns her attention to Alex who is taking out the stethoscope.
