19~Sorry

I tip toe down the stairs careful to not make any noise. I can't fall asleep right now and I don't even know if I'm going to school tomorrow or not. 

Today was a long and hectic day so I mean I don't have to really go but then I don't want to miss out on important stuff because I know getting into the medical field is very competitive and hard. 

It was a tough job getting past Mario because he was literally guarding my door with his life. I mean I could've told him that I wanted to go out for some fresh air but then he'd have to follow me and I just wanted some alone time. 

But I mean what can I say? I got past the big bad hulk, I congratulate myself in my head. 

I want to go out to the balcony but I can't because Mario would see me and I really hope that the loud bang in my room didn't cause him to look in or anything. 

So I guess the only other place I can go is to the garden. I'm walking down the stairs quietly and keeping myself close to the wall. 

I'm really thirsty so I decide to go to the kitchen to grab a glass of water. Just as I close the refrigerator door the sound of a car parking out front and then the front door opening alerts me. 

SHIT!

Who is it at this time of the night? Lorenzo is up in his bedroom sound asleep and someone has attacked the house. 

Fuck! Fuck! What do I do?

I quickly kneel down and hide by the counters when I hear the footsteps coming closer and closer. 

"Oh God. I'm so sorry for anything that I've done please forgive me!" I plead whispering to no one in particular. 

The footsteps stop by the kitchen doorway and I hold my breath to not give away my location. 

Oh God the lights are still on they're going to know I'm here. I close my eyes tight and I hug my knees to my chest as the footsteps recede into the kitchen. 

'Well done Sophia! You're fucked' I tell myself. I keep my eyes shut tightly not wanting to see who it is in fear. 

The footsteps have stopped now and I can feel the looming presence of someone towering over me. 

'Okay Sophia come on you got this' I encourage myself. I mean the guy knows that I'm here but why isn't he acknowledging himself?

Right you got this...3...2...1

I open my eyes and the first thing I see is the man's long legs and shiny black shoes. Slowly I start trailing my eyes up the man's body and when my eyes meet with the grey ones that I know so well my eyes widen. 

"Lorenzo" I whisper slightly flabbergasted. 

"What are you doing here?" he asks back monotonously. I quickly start standing up now that my racing heart has slowed down and I know who the 'guy' is. 

"Umm...nothing I was just thirsty but then I heard someone come in and I thought you were asleep so I didn't know what to do" I mumble quietly avoiding his eyes. 

"Mario couldn't find you in your room" he explains. Guess he did look in the room after creating so much noise. 

" I just-" he doesn't even let me finish before he cuts me off. 

"No Sophia I don't want any of that bullshit. You know that Mario is meant to be guarding your room for a reason so tell me why the fuck you would decide to just leave the room and not tell anyone your whereabouts?" he raises his voice slightly.
