The morning of the meeting with Hunter's new school came bright and early. I laid in bed a moment longer after my alarm clock sounded. My eyes were starting to drift closed again when my slumber was ended by someone jumping on my bed. Well more of my stomach than my bed.

"Mom! Wake up!" He pushes on me and I continue to sleep. "I get to start school today." My response is to pull the covers over my head not looking forward to spending the morning in the company of a Dr. Wright.

Hunter stops jumping on the bed leaving me to believe I'm going to be able to sneak in a few more minutes of sleep. As I'm back to drifting I swear I hear Lucan state he has an idea to wake me up. Then I hear nothing and I smile in victory. But my victory is very short lived.

I find myself springing up in bed due to the sudden appearance of water. My face gets hit with a steady stream of water. As I'm wiping the water from my face my eyes land on Lucan's eyes dancing with amusement. Him and Hunter are both holding squirt guns.

Hunter's gun falls to his side and he slows begins to back from the room. "Dad," he states in a worried tone. Then his eyes shift to me and I'm sure I would be shooting fire if I was a dragon. "Mom," he says slowly. "None of this was my idea. It was all his," he says pointing the gun at Lucan. "I told him this was a bad idea from the starts."

"Traitor," Lucan mutters also backing away slowly. At least they both have the sense to disappear from my room.

"Sorry dad not going down with you. You've lived a good long life already. I still have a lot of living to do." He then takes off running down the hall leaving Lucan to his fate.

Lucan watches him run away. "Whatever happened to no man left behind?" He yells out to Hunter's retreating back.

"The army never faced a mad Kinsley. If they did they too would fend for themselves." His feet could be heard dashing down the stairs and out the back door.

Once Lucan realized Hunter was going to be of no help to him he turned and faced me sending me a please don't hurt me smile. "Kitten," he says gently with his hands up in the air. "You wouldn't wish ill upon the father of your son." Butterflies flutter in my stomach over hearing him refer to Hunter as my son, but then I remember what he did and I narrow me eyes. "Would you," he adds once he sees I'm not budging on my position.

I pull the blanket off me and sit on the edge of the bed. Lucan watches my every move with guarded eyes. Out of the corner of my eye I spot Hunter's discarded water gun along with Lucan's no far from it. Slowly I inch my way towards my goal.

Luck is on my side because a loud crash comes from down stairs followed by Hunter yelling, "I'm okay." Lucan is momentarily distracted and I make my move. Before he can turn around I have both water guns in my hands aimed at him. The second he turns around I unleash hell on him. I don't relent till I'm out of water.

Water drips down Lucan's face and I can longer hold back my laughter. He narrows his eyes and pounces on me. I fall backwards into the bed in a fit of giggles.

Lucan starts to tickle me. "So me squirting you with a water gun is not allowed but you can shoot me with one?" He continues to tickle me.

"Exactly," I scream between peals of laughter. "Stop," I beg him.

Lucan ends up hoovering above me and we stare at one another. Not sure who leaned in towards who first, but we were kissing instead of arguing. Maybe we should kiss more and then in turn will argue less. I wrap my arms around his neck and deepen the kiss.

Lucan presses his growing erection between my legs and I groan at the contact. If only we had the time to continue what we are starting. As though the universe is reading my thoughts my alarm goes off again. A curse flies out of Lucan's mouth as he rolls off me to lay on the side of me and buries his face into my neck. He nuzzles his nose against my neck causing me to laugh.
