"This looks really good, Marc," Sean said as he sat at the table and picked up his fork. "I'm starving."

"Long day at the hospital?" Kota asked and Sean nodded as he began eating.

"I have apple pie for you when you are done eating," Luke chuckled as Sean's bright green eyes lit up at the mention of his favorite dessert.

"At least it's somewhat healthy," North shook his head as Luke mumbled something about cookies also were made for dessert.

"Cookies are healthy also," Luke pouted. "They have milk and eggs in them. And chocolate is technically a vegetable, it comes from the cocoa bean, which beans are vegetables."

"Sweets are not healthy, Lucian," North glared, his dark eyes boring into his brother's mischievous brown ones. "They are filled with too much sugar."

"But cocoa beans are vegetables," Luke threw back.

"Dr. Green speaking," Sean said as he answered his ringing phone silencing the brothers. He tensed and froze dropping his fork, catching his family's attention so they all stopped eating. "Yes, I know her," he said snapping back to his senses. "I'm on my way," He hung up the phone and stared at it.

"Doc?"

"Huh?" He asked with a dazed look. The sparkle in his eyes were gone and he hadn't even noticed that his sandy blonde hair was in his face.

"The call?" Kota asked.

"Oh," Sean snapped back to his senses and jumped up knocking his chair over. "We have to leave."

"We?" Victor asked confused. They were never allowed to go with him to the hospital to see a patient unless it was one of them and they were together so it didn't make any sense.

Sean stopped and turned back to his family. He took a deep breath before looking up at them with fear and worry in his eyes, "That was the Oklahoma State Patrol. There has been an accident and apparently, I'm still listed as Veronica's emergency contact."

"What?" the group asked. Shock ran through them as their minds began to fill with all sorts of thoughts. It had been almost a year since they had last seen their ex fiancée and now they find out that she's been in a car accident and they don't know how serious it is. Fear ran through them. They had been searching for her since she left after an argument nearly a year ago but being with them for seven years, ever since high school, came back to bite them in the ass because when they told her to leave, she made damn sure of it. There was no trace of her after that childish argument, she had gone ghost and no matter how many favors they tried to use, no one could find her. They had taught her their skills too well and they were hating it because after they cooled down they realized how stupid the argument was but by then she was already gone. The only reminder of her was her room in their house that has remained untouched to this very day. They shut the door and never opened it again. Her get away apartment had been cleared out of just the things she bought with her own money. Everything they ever bought her, clothes, knickknacks, jewelry, the whole apartment was still there but she was gone. And now she was back but at what cost?

"I have to go," Sean whispered as he rushed up the stairs.

"We're coming with you," Kota said as they met him at the stairs.

"Did they say—" Lucian asked nervously. Everyone held their breath as they waited for an answer.

Sean shook his head, "All I know is that she was in a car accident and is unconscious and I'm listed as her emergency contact," Sean said as he grabbed his doctor bag.

Everyone's mind was racing with various thoughts as they rushed to the hospital. They couldn't lose her again, she could hate them for the rest of their days and they rightfully deserve it but they would find a way to earn her forgiveness and would grovel for the rest of their lives if it meant they would have her back. This time away from her made them realize what they lost and they would never take her for granted ever again. They wanted their one love back and now that they finally found her they would never let her go again. No matter what they had to do, they would have their queen back by their sides.

They pulled up to the hospital and stopped when Dr. Roberts and Erica were standing there looking very serious. "What's going on?" Sean asked as they tried to control their racing hearts.

"She was hit by a drunk driver and the car rolled," Dr. Roberts said clearing his throat. "She's alive but there's something you need to know."
