"Shhh, Mommy is sleeping. Daddies have you, Sweet Girls."

Vera slowly woke but kept her eyes closed as she listened to Owen talk to the girls. She found it slightly comical to hear him talk so sweetly.

"Does she have any milk pumped so we don't have to wake her?" Sean whispered. "She needs to sleep."

"Marc is checking," Owen whispered. "But won't she need to pump if we bottle feed them?"

"She can feed the next time since they are cluster feeding it will give her body time to make more for them," Sean whispered as he fastened the diaper then Vera heard them patting their backs.

"Come on, let's go to the nursery so we don't accidentally wake, Darling," Owen whispered.

"I really wish she would believe us that we want to repair our relationship," Sean whispered as they headed to the door.

"We all do," Owen agreed, "but we must earn her forgiveness first. We were complete assholes then."

Vera opened her eyes when she heard the door shut. She carefully shifted to be more comfortable then sighed as her mind swirled. She really wanted to believe them, but her mind and heart just kept reminding her over and over that they betrayed her trust in them.

Sighing, rolled onto her back and placed her arm over her eyes. She really needed to go back to sleep but her mind was fully awake and swirling with ideas and thoughts. No matter what they wanted and hoped for, she knew she couldn't go back to being dependent on them once she was cleared to go back to work. They may want to be a family again, but she couldn't fully trust them anymore. She needed to know that she could provide for the girls all on her own. Yeah, she nodded and yawned, she would let them care of her and the girls right now, but once she is fully healed, she would talk to Uncle and Erica and see about Jess watching the girls so she could go back to work. She was no longer the naïve little girl they fell in love with. They destroyed that girl when all she wanted was to learn who she was. Now that she knew who she was and had the girls to care for, she no longer had the time for love or relationships. The walls around her heart were fully intact and nothing would knock them down.

She drifted back to sleep and the next time woke was to the bed moving slightly. "Angelos Mou," Silas whispered softly. "The girls are starting to get hungry."

"Okay," she mumbled as she started to sit up. "Where is—"

"Here Kitten," Raven whispered as he placed the boppy in her lap.

"I have your pain medicine as well," Corey said as he came into the room with a plate and a cup. "And a snack, Doc said you needed to eat when you take them."

"Fine," She yawned as she lowered the straps of her spaghetti strap shirt. "Hey Sweet Girl," she smiled fondly as Asteria rooted around before latching on. She winced slightly then smiled as she felt the milk being pulled from her.

"Here," Silas smiled softly as he helped her hold Selene as well. "There you go, Little One."

"My sweet girls," Veronica smiled softly as she watched the girls feed from her. It gave her a sense of pride that she was able to do this since she couldn't have them the way she wanted. She felt privileged since she knew there were a lot of mothers out there that wanted to nurse but for one reason or another were not able to, so the fact that she could made her happy, even if she was exhausted, it was so worth it to her.

"Sleep Kitten," Raven said once the girls were done nursing and had fallen asleep unlatching from her nipples. "We put Baby Kittens to bed."

"Okay," She yawned.

"Can I check your incision, Sweetie?" Corey whispered softly as he removed the boppy pillow. "Please?"

"Fine," She mumbled as she laid back down.

Corey gently removed the bandage, felt around it, then applied a new one. "It looks fine, I will let Doc know," he gently pulled her shirt back down and she nodded. "Sweet dreams, Sweetie."

Silas and Raven told her good night as well then left the room. The next time she woke, the girls were not in the room but she wasn't worried. She looked over and frowned, there on her nightstand was a box that wasn't there when she fell asleep.

She pulled the box onto the bed and removed the lid. She gasped when she saw what was inside.
