Owen watched as a black pickup truck drove up and stopped. The driver side door opened and out stepped a man wearing a dark green t-shirt with a black trench coat and dark grey cargo pants and was wearing a black cowboy hat and hiking boots. "Owen Grady, you're a hard man to find." The man said as he walked towards Owen.
"Well I try to cover my tracks well." Owen said as he then broke the sense of formality as he hugged his old friend. "How have you been Jake?" Owen asked and Claire and Maisie's mouths dropped.
"Eh same old, but Herc is trying to find and relocate the Theropods like Rexy away from civilization. But she's being hard to get." Jake said.
Owen noticed Jake had a beard and mustache similar to his but it was more bushier but well-kept.
"Yeah well he's gonna have his hands full." Owen said as he motioned for Jake to follow him.
The two walked over to the tracks the Carcharodontosaurus and Therizinosaurus left last night.
"What, did a pair of Allosaurus drop by?" Jake asked as he looked at the tracks.
"Think bigger." Owen said.
"I would say Suchomimus?" Jake suggested. "They are the second largest Theropods on the mainland after Tyrannosaurus."
"Jake do you actually even know what these came from?" Owen asked.
"Owen, I'm guessing because the only way to tell majority of Theropod footprints apart is by size." Jake said.
"Jake I saw a Therizinosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus outside my cabin in the middle of the night." Owen finally said.
Jake looked over at him with a concerned face. "And you didn't tell anybody?" Jake asked.
"We don't have a phone line Jake." Owen said. "Plus the internet out here is terrible."
Jake stared in the direction the tracks led. "Did you try to track them yet?" Jake asked.
"No." Owen answered.
"We'll track them down later." Jake said. "Right now we need to talk about her."
Jake gestured to Maisie who hid behind Claire.
"What about her?" Owen asked.
Jake let out a sigh. "Don't act like I didn't see an Allosaurus transform into her."
"Right so we're just going to ignore that you can do the same thing but with something bigger then her form?" Owen asked.
Jake was about to say something but just kept quiet. "Fair point." Jake said.
Meanwhile inside the treeline
Sara stared out of the trees as she smelled a familiar smell, one that she could recognize a mile away.
Her brother was here.
"Sara? What's wrong?" McKenzie asked her walking up.
"It's nothing." Sara lied and looked at Jake as he talked with the redheaded woman and the man.
McKenzie looked down at the group of people and she noticed the girl sneaking away from them.
"Well I'm going to go see where that girl is going." McKenzie said as she turned around and walked away from Sara.
And into the snow covered forest.
Meanwhile with Maisie
Maisie ran through the forest as she wanted to get as far from Jake as possible, she didn't know why but her mind told her to run.
