Charles pulled Bakely out of the way of the A-Rex as it leapt through the window, jaws open.
The three men then fled the room with the A-Rex in hot pursuit.
They ran into the weapons room were they slammed the much sturdier doors on the Theropod's face.
"Take your pick." Darlington said as Bakely and Charles looked at the weapons.
Bakely grabbed a simple revolver while Darlington grabbed a rifle and Charles grabbed twin revolvers.
Just then the doors broke open and the A-Rex stepped into the room.
"Gentlemen, let us vanquish this beast." Darlington said as he aimed his rifle at the A-Rex.
Which roared in response as they fired at it.
However most of the bullets either missed or only grazed the beast.
The A-Rex roared and charged at the three men. Were it slammed it's tail into Bakely sending him flying backwards and also knocking him out.
The A-Rex then knocked Charles over with it's tail, making him drop his guns and then proceeded to pin him down with said tail.
However Darlington shot it in the shoulder and the beast roared in pain and stumbled backwards.
Charles scrambled to his feet as Darlington tried to fire his rifle at the A-Rex again but the beast knocked the rifle out of his hands.
The two men then ran away from the beasts with it giving chase after them.
They both ran into the green house. Were the A-Rex snarled softly at the two men.
"We split up. It can only chase one of us." Darlington whispered.
"You'll run left, I'll run right." Charles whispered back and Darlington nodded and they ran in separate directions.
the Apicovenator Rex then charged after Charles and not Darlington.
"Drat." Darlington growled.
He then ran back to the armoury and grabbed a spear and ran back to a greenhouse.
Were he found Charles being pinned down by the A-Rex with a gash on his shoulder.
Darlington also watched as a tree log fell down through the roof as rain started to pour.
He then slipped off his shirt and jacket and climbed on top of the fallen log.
Were he let out a powerful war cry as he then jumped down and stabbed the spear down in the A-Rex's back.
The beast roared in pain and tried to bite at Darlington which allowed Charles to escape from the beasts grasp.
Darlington ripped the spear from the A-Rex's back.
The beast then shook Darlington off.
The man then slashed the Apicovenator Rex on the face with the spear.
However when Darlington stabbed the A-Rex in the shoulder with the spear the blade got lodged into the beast's shoulder.
However he managed to get it dislodged in one piece.
However Darlington stabbed the A-Rex in the throat and it's eyes went wide and it shortly after fell to the ground.
Darlington looked at the blood that covered his arms and face.
"And there you have it!" Charles exclaimed.
"Well Charles, I guess you were right." Darlington said.
Just then the two men noticed the A-Rex started to transform.
In it's spot was a woman with brunette brown hair, soft green eyes, and pale skin.
"I guess I'm right again?" Charles said unsure this time.
"No." Darlington said as he pointed the woman's mouth.
Her canine teeth were larger then they should be and looked like the teeth of the A-Rex's.
"This is clearly a beast that somehow evolved to be able to transform from monster to human." Darlington said. "We need to make sure no one will ever find out about this."
—end flashback—
Claire closed the book and shuttered softly.
She looked out the rooms window just to make sure that there wasn't an A-Rex staring back at her.
Claire then heard things crashing to the floor in the living room.
She walked out to see Maisie and Owen chasing after a baby Parasaurolophus.
Claire looked at the young hadrosaur and noticed something was up with it's patterns.
They didn't look like any made by Hammond or Masrani.

"What is going on in here?" Claire asked.
"Owen found a baby Parasaurolophus by the road." Maisie said as she tried to grab the baby hadrosaur but it jumped out of her reach.
"Yeah. A huge herd settled down nearby and this little guy was left behind for some reason." Owen said.
Claire looked at the baby Parasaurolophus which stood on one of the chairs.
"It's parents are probably looking for it." Claire said.
Just then they heard the bellow of a Parasaurolophus off in the distance followed by a few more.
"My guess is that the herd is down by the lake." Claire said.
"Can we go swimming?" Maisie asked.
"At this time of the year?" Claire said. "And in your current state, no."
Maisie sighed in disappointment as Claire walked over and picked up the baby Parasaurolophus and the three walked over to their car.
Maisie sat in the back with the baby Parasaurolophus while Owen climbed into the driver seat and Claire climbed into the passenger seat and they drove off towards the nearby lake.
