Mirio stared at his ceiling fan in boredom. He turned and looked at his analog clock, seeing that it was 1: 18 am. He couldn't fall asleep from excitement. His parents were taking him on a hiking trip with his best friend, Tamaki. He sat up then looked at all his camping gear in his room. As the eight year old began to imagine everything he would be able to do tomorrow, he felt his stomach begin to grumble. He got up from his bed, then tiptoed to his door. He turned his doorknob before opening his door to avoid a loud noise. He slowly opened the door, and crawled into the hallway. His parents were in the living room. He froze in fear, but saw that his parents were too busy sucking each other faces off to notice him. He quickly crawled into the kitchen. Lucky enough for him their snack cabinet was close to the floor. All of sudden he heard his parents talking. He froze and decided to listen into their conversation.

"Are you sure you want to do this? This is permanent, we can't go back on this." He heard his mother say. He peeked his head out to look at his parents. "Yes. I've wanted to mark you for a long time, babe." His father said, Mirio pouted as his parents began to make out again. He looked into the snack cabinet. "Ok, ok do it." He heard his Mom say. "I love you a lot and you gave me a beautiful son." His father said, Mirio quietly hummed. He now learned that you mark people you love. He looked at his parents again and saw his Dad bite down on his mother's scent glance. She yelped but covered her mouth quickly. Mirio looked at them in fear, was this supposed to be loving? He contemplated stopping his father so his mother wouldn't be in pain. Once his Dad stopped, his mother hugged him. "Thank you." His mother said, now Mirio had thousands of questions. He grabbed a pack of little bites and rushed back to his room. He ate them then eventually fell asleep.

He woke up to his father shaking his awake. "Wake up sport! We have to leave early to pick up Tamaki, remember?" Mirio's father said. He hopped out of bed with a big grin and smiled. "Alright, go put your clothes on and get some breakfast." Mirio's father said. Mirio nodded, he quickly put his clothes on and brushed his teeth. He then went to the kitchen to see his mother. "Good morning mama!" Mirio exclaimed. His mother turned around and chuckled. "Good morning Mirio. Here, eat some breakfast before we go." His mother said, as she handed him a plate and Mirio grabbed himself a biscuit, bacon and some grits. He sat down and ate gleefully. His father walked in and out of the house, as he put stuff in the car. As he ate Mirio noticed the mark on his mother's scent glance. He remembered everything that he saw and heard last night. "Mama you have a mark now." He said, trying not to tell his mother that he saw everything. His mother smiled and felt her scent glance. "Yep. Me and your father are mates now." She told him. Mirio knew what mates were obviously, he hummed then looked at his Mom. "Did it hurt?" He asked his mother. "Only a little, but you only mark people you trust, love, and want to spend the rest of your life with." His mother said, then she left a small kiss on his forehead. Mirio nodded and finished his breakfast.

"Alright, everything's packed. We need to get going if we want to make it there in time." Mirio's dad said. The boy squealed and booked it to the car. He buckled himself in the car. His father drove and Mom rode shotgun. All their camping equipment was in the trunk. They were on the way to Tamaki's house. Once they reached his house, Mirio ran up to the door and knocked on it. Tamaki's mother opened it then smiled. "He'll be right out shortly." She said, before closing the door again. Minutes later, Tamaki came out with a giant book bag. Mirio cheered and hugged his friend tight. "Yay! Tama!" He cheered, Tamaki reluctantly hugged him back. His parents waved at Mirio's parents. Mirio's father grabbed Tamaki's bag and put it in the car. Everyone got back in the car so they could drive to the camping site. "I can't wait! We're gonna make s'mores!" Mirio told his friend. Tamaki's eyes glistened at the sound of s'mores. "And we get to see so many animals." Tamaki quietly said. They kept talking about everything they're going to do.

"Alright boys, we got here just in time to get walking. You do have to carry some things though." Mirio's mother told them. Mirio held their sleeping bag and Tamaki held the portable freezer. While Mirio's parents held their tents and bags. Mirio skipped to the camping site, holding Tamaki's hand along with him. "Miri~ S-slow down, w-we're supposed to be taking in the scenery." Mirio pouted then stopped skipping. He still held Tamaki's hand as they looked at the setting around them. It looked beautiful. By the time they got to the camping site, it was evening. They put up two tents and were collecting wood for a fire. "There we go. The fire is lit." Mirio's dad said. Mirio's mother was cooking hot dogs with the fire and smiled. "Mmmh! Thank you Mama!" Mirio said, getting his hot dog first, then Tamaki. "Thank you Mrs. Togata." Tamaki said, then the two ate their hot dogs and Mirio's father decided to tell them a story.

"Papa~ Stop tryna to scare us~" Mirio told his father. His father chuckled then his mother handed the boys a s'mores. After they finished eating the boys went into their tent. They grabbed their bags and changed into their pj's. "Thank you for bringing me along." Tamaki said, as he got snuggled into his sleeping bag and Mirio pouted. "You're not really going to sleep, are you? We got the whole night to explore! We just have to wait until my parents fall asleep!" Mirio said in awe. Tamaki looked at him in confusion. "That's what we're doing tomorrow... during daylight." The indigo-haired male told him. Mirio scoffed, "Yeah but during night time it's better! Pretty please! If anything dares to attack up, I've been training my quirk!" Mirio told him. Tamaki sighed then put his shoes back on. Mirio grabbed two flashlights from his bag. He gave one to Tamaki then turned it on. He then brought out a paper.

"Here is where we are right now. I copied the back so we don't get lost. Let's go to the lake." He said, pointing by the area of water near the camp site. Tamaki took a deep breath then opened their tent. He poked his head out seeing the night was dark. He left the tent and Mirio followed. Mirio tiptoed over to his parents' tent and listened. He heard his father's famous snoring. Tamaki then took his hand in fear. "Are they awake?" Tamaki whispered, "Nope." Mirio answered in a whisper. They walked tiptoed back to their tent then Mirio turned on his flashlight, Tamaki held the map and they started walking in the path of the lake. "The forest is so different at night." Tamaki said, his voice seemed to echo and he blushed. Mirio shushed him then giggled.

"Yeah. I wanted to tell you something we could do!" He whispered, Tamaki looked at him confused and slightly scared. They were already walking in the dark forest in the middle of the night without any supervision. "What?" He looked at him confused. "We could be mates." Mirio told him. Tamaki looked at him confused. "You want to mark me?" Tamaki asked in shock. Mirio nodded his head then giggled nervously. "I promise I'll be the best mate ever! Plus you're my best friend and I'll love you forever! All you have to do is trust me!" Mirio told him. Tamaki shushed him then hummed. "B-but it's going to be there forever! I- I guess I'll do it if you're really sure..." He told him. The blonde hugged him tightly. "I'm sure! Let's do it when we get to the lake!" Mirio exclaimed, Tamaki shushed him again and they kept walking. The lake was beautiful, once they got to it. The boys were in awe of how the moonlight shone down on the lake. They sat down beside it. They took off their socks and shoes, rolled up their pants and dipped their feet in. Tamaki looked down at the water then smiled.

"Okay... maybe this was one of your better ideas." Tamaki told him. Mirio scoffed then giggled. "I always have good ideas." Mirio said back. Tamaki giggled then slowly pulled his shirt collar down. He showed his scent gland to Mirio then looked away in embarrassment. "D-do it." He stuttered, Mirio moved closer. He gave Tamaki a gentle hug. Tamaki began to sweat from nervousness. "It might hurt a little." Mirio said, getting ready to bite Tamaki's neck. Tamaki nodded, then closed his eyes. Mirio moved closer then finally bit Tamaki's neck. The omega began to scream before he covered his mouth. Mirio's venom was sinking into him, after a few seconds Mirio detached himself from Tamaki's neck. He followed his instincts and licked the blood from the bite. They were mates now. Tamaki felt the bite and blushed. "Wo-woah." Mirio stuttered. Tamaki's smell got really strong all of a sudden. "W-we're mated now. Isn't this what you wanted?" Tamaki said, becoming scared that Mirio regretted the decision. "What? Of course not, this is great! I can't wait!" He said, hugging the omega even tighter. "C-can we go back. I- I feel so tired now." Tamaki weakly stated. Mirio nodded and they put back on their socks and shoes. The boys walked back to their tent. They held hands cheerfully.

The next morning, Mirio's dad woke them up. He awed seeing them cuddling in their sleep. They figured the boys were up later than expected and let them sleep in. Mirio woke up before Tamaki then decided to meet his parents by the fire. "Well good morning sleepy head. Sleep good?" His mother said. Mirio nodded his head. His father handed him a breakfast burrito along with a bottle of water. Tamaki soon came out of the tent, rubbing his sore scent glance and sat beside his new mate. "Good morning Tamaki." Mirio's mother said, "G-good morning." He said. Mirio's father handed him a breakfast burrito with a bottle of water as well. Tamaki moved his hand and began to eat. Mirio's mother gasped as she saw Tamaki's neck. "Tamaki, honey, your scent gland..." She said in fear, Mirio's father noticed it as well and his eyes widened. "Oh yeah! I marked Tama! We're mates now!" Mirio told them. Tamaki blushed then nodded his head. Mirio's mother passed out. "Fuck." He heard his dad exclaim.
