Chapter 13

Tamaki's parents threw a graduation party for the two, but right after the actual graduation something devastating happened. Mirio passed out. Lack of mate's pheromones was the cause. Even after Tamaki told him that he was getting their mark removed, Mirio still made sure Tamaki stayed healthy. He stayed beside Mirio in the hospital, letting out tons of pheromones to wake him up. "Ugh. Tamaki stop, you're going to make me go insane." Mirio said, he sat up and held his head. He saw Tamaki crying then patted his head. "I didn't mean to almost kill you... I- I feel so selfish." Tamaki cried, as he hugged the blonde. Mirio hugged back and smiled. Man did it feel good to have him in his arms again. "Even though this feels really nice and all to have you near me again. I just woke up, I have no control right now." Mirio whispered in his ear. Tamaki realized what Mirio meant as he pulled him closer and Tamaki felt Mirio's boner underneath him. The omega blushed then moved back. Mirio smiled innocently. "I- I'll go tell them you're awake." Tamaki said, scurrying to find a way out of the awkward situation.

As he left the room, Mirio sighed in annoyance. He was really looking forward to indulging in a party to forget about Tamaki momentarily, but the odds weren't in favor at all. Now he had to spend a week with Tamaki non-stop so he wouldn't pass out again. So much for life after graduation. Tamaki came back with his parents and a doctor. "Oh thank goodness. You guys have to stop doing this. You two aren't free of your mark yet." His mother said, she of course was ecstatic about them getting rid of their mark. Mirio's father put his hand on his son's forehead then smiled. "Feeling better?" He asked, Mirio said yes but shook his head no. Mirio's father hugged him then sighed. The doctor began the check up to see if Mirio was able to leave the hospital yet. "Looks like, Mirio's almost all well. We'll get him some discharge papers and he'll be ready to go by tomorrow." The doctor said, as he began to leave the room. Mirio's parents began talking to him, Tamaki felt out of place like always and left the room. Mirio looked at his mom then she left too, catching the hint. "Alright, tell me what's going on?" His father asked.

"I don't want to get my mark removed. I put it there and I want it to stay there." He cried. Mirio's father comforted him while also giving him the truth. "I know Mirio, but Tamaki doesn't want it anymore. Even though the mark affects the both of you, he's the one with it. You'll have to accept it, son." His father told him. Mirio felt queasy. He didn't know life without Tamaki or his smell. "I think I'll die without him." He dramatically said. Mirio's father sighed then shook his head. "Either Tamaki is rubbing off on your or the lack pheromones is messing up your mental health." He said. Mirio wiped his face, knowing it was probably a mixture of both. "I don't know, I just want to be the best mate I can be, before we get the mark removed." He told his father. His father chuckled then nodded. "That's how I raised you." He said. Mirio took one final deep breath as he calmed himself down. He let everyone back in and Tamaki sat in the corner again. The doctor told Tamaki to keep letting out pheromones but Mirio was about to explode. He focused on trying to control himself, but it was so hard.

Minutes passed and it kept getting harder and harder. He was sweating and breathing hard. He watched as his mom talked poorly about Tamaki as he was sitting 3 feet away from her. Tamaki's pheromones changed from normal to sad. Mirio growled and glared at his mother. "Shut up." He growled. The scene made Mirio's mother and Tamaki flinch. Mirio's father laughed and told Tamaki to lay low with the pheromones. "Mirio Togata who are you talking to like that?" His mother scolded him. Mirio growled louder and Tamaki blushed even harder. "Stop talking about my omega like that." He growled, as he slowly lost control of himself. His father calmed him down and Mirio fell asleep. "I told you we should've made Amajiki leave." His mother told Mirio's father. Tamaki was still a little surprised by what happened, Mirio's been losing his control so often lately. "Please, they're having a hard time already. Just let the boys live, they're fully grown now." His father told his mom. Tamaki covered his face, he loved it when Mirio did that, but it was something he was going to have to live without.

"I'm going to head home. Please tell me when Mirio wakes up." Tamaki said, getting up from his chair. Mirio's father nodded but his mother glared at him. "You do not deserve to be near my son until the surgery." She said, Mirio's father shook his head. "That's how he got in the hospital." He said to his wife. Tamaki walked out the room and kept his head down. Mirio's words replayed in his head. 'Stop talking about my omega like that." Tamaki was so flustered about the words Mirio said, he knew it was going to happen no more if he got their mark removed. He considered changing his decision but then he remembered all the reasons why he shouldn't. Then Nejire's words came into his head, 'latest time to change your mind is during the surgery.'
