Once Tamaki's heat week was over, he had school the next day. He groaned getting out of bed. He was drenched in slick, sweat, and cum. He grabbed all his blankets and sheets so he could wash them. Afterwards, he took a shower and thoroughly cleaned his body. When he finished his shower, he washed his sheets then got something to eat. He was starving. Like normal when he was in heat, he barely left his room and refused to eat. He walked into the kitchen and made himself a bowl of cereal. He looked at the time seeing it was really early. Maybe he could go to the gym to get ready for exams, try to get his mind clear, and really get focused. As he ate his mother came into the kitchen and she smiled seeing her son. "Good morning, you feel better I see." She said, Tamaki nodded his head then continued to eat. "Yeah, but I'm going to train today." Tamaki told his mother. Tamaki's mother looked at him shocked. "Tamaki you just got out of heat." His mother scolded him. Tamaki groaned then pouted. "Exams start tomorrow and I haven't studied or worked out yet." Tamaki whined, Tamaki's mother sighed and ruffled Tamaki's hair. Tamaki finished his cereal then went and changed into his gym clothes. "Come back before 7 pm so you have enough time to get back to U.A." She said as Tamaki walked out. He nodded then left the house. As Tamaki walked to the gym he got a message. He rolled his eyes seeing the message was from Mirio.

Mirio: Meet me at ****** *** ****** at 1. We really need to talk

Tamaki: Alright.

Tamaki sighed and jogged to the gym. He played music so he could distract himself from his thoughts. He got to the gym and did his normal workout. Each workout made Tamaki fight back tears even harder. Why was Mirio trying to torture him. His alarm suddenly when off, seeing it was 12:45. He caught his breath, got a bottle of water and walked to the place. He took his time and enjoyed the scenery. He saw Mirio already waiting outside for him then took one final deep breath. Mirio smelled Tamaki's scent, then looked up at him. His eyes widened seeing Tamaki in his gym clothes. Mirio walked towards him, he smelled Tamaki more clearly and he could tell he was pissed. "Hey Tama." Mirio stated as he put his phone away. "Sorry about going into rut so early. I really messed up our spring break haha." Mirio told him, trying to lighten the mood. "It's fine." Tamaki quickly said. Mirio opened the cafe door for Tamaki. They sat down at a dining booth and Mirio decided to interrupt the awkward silence. "Well, Yuyu knows that we're mated now." Mirio told him. Tamaki let out a loud sigh. "Great, she knows we're mated. I- I can't even, why were you at that store?" He asked in confusion. Mirio laughed nervously then scratched his head.

"That was the closest store to her house. What did you hear?" Mirio asked him. Tamaki could barely keep his composure. A waitress brought the drinks that they ordered, Tamaki sipped on his drink as he was trying to put his thoughts into words. "I heard you say you were uncomfortable, then she was like you owe her for the fight and she wanted to help with your rut and you just sighed. I've- I've known you since I could walk and I know you wouldn't do something like that, you don't even like talking about it with me... I just can't believe you and Yuyu did it." Tamaki vented, his eyes got watery and he just stared at the floor. "Well lucky for you, we didn't. When you hissed and ran away, she saw you. She pulled me out of the store and we got back to her house. We argued until I couldn't handle it, then I just left. I was really trying my best with her. I'm sorry." Mirio told his mate. Tamaki let out a big sigh of relief. Mirio snickered and smiled at him. Tamaki suddenly felt a wave of confidence hit him.

"Mirio, I like you. I'm jealous of Yuyu, but I can't bring myself to tell you how much I love you." He blurted out. Mirio was a bit surprised, but all he did was nod his head. "I like you too," Mirio began saying. Tamaki felt overjoyed, his eyes widened and a smile began to appear on his face. "but we only like each other because we're mates. We shouldn't act on it since it's just a part of our instincts." He finished saying. Tamaki's heart dropped. His held his head low then finished drinking his drink. The only thing the omega could do was hum. He looked at the time on his phone then flinched. "A-ah my mom wanted me home at 3, I um, I have to get going." Tamaki lied. Mirio nodded then got up with him. He was about to give him a hug before Tamaki backed away. Mirio thought it was a bit weird, but respected Tamaki's wish not to be hugged. "I'll walk you home while stopping by and say hi." The blonde told his mate. Tamaki shook his head, "It's fine. I'll just tell them you hi. I- I have to go, bye!" Tamaki said, before rushing out of the cafe. He cried all the way home. He was so stupid, why would he confess? He knew he was going to get rejected. He knew Mirio was never actually going see him like that, but maybe Mirio was right. Maybe Tamaki only liked Mirio because they were mates.
