I went to Vals room to tell her dinners ready "Val dinner is read-VAL" I yelled not seeing her

I ran around her room not seeing her then I spotted a note on her bed

Dear daddy,

I want to know who my real mommy is and Lauren just came and probably expects me to call her mommy well no! So I won't come back until I find her"

She thought I expected her to call me mom, no not if she's not comfortable and she's only 5 and has perfect spelling damn

But she's looking for her real mom

Suddenly I felt a tear fall down my cheek Val was like a daughter to me

I ran downstairs and yelled "Xavier Vals gone and left a note!" He quickly tuned his head "What..." he said and I started crying very hard

"Hey let me see it" he said He read the note and he looked at me with guilt in his eyes

"Hey we're going to find her" he said "How are you calm!" I yelled

He sighed and looked down "Because she did this before but without a note" he said

"She's only 5 Xavier" I said "I know she did it 7 months ago I know where she is" he said grabbing my hand and leading me to the door "Let's go"

We drove to a cabin in a forest and I saw small footsteps in the dirt

Lauren looked very very upset

She thought Val hated her but Val just never met her mom she left right after birth

I feel terrible and the fact this is the second time Val ran away

We entered the cabin and there was a old lady with Val on her lap

"Val.." Lauren said with teary eyes "What are you doing here Lauren?" Val asked as she cuddled the old lady "I was worried sick" Lauren said "Well don't expect me to come back and call you mom!" Val yelled

"I would never ask you to do that you do it on your own and where did you get that from!" She yelled "Lauren let's face it we all know my real mommy is daddy's wife not you so stop acting like you and my daddy have something and I will never ever call you mom" Val said and Laurens eyes widened and were filled with hurt

But wait how did she know what any of that stuff is she's literally 5

"Valentina that's no way to talk to her" I scolded her and scoffed "And-" I continued but was cut off by Lauren "Stop it's fine I won't be needed and I'm just saying I'm not trying to make you hurt but think about this..." she said "If your mommy and daddy are together where is she?" She asked "If she loves you where is she?" She continued and my eyes grew wide

"And one more thing guess what I'm here and I love you right and not with your daddy" she said "But if that means nothing to you then I'll just not talk to you cause I can't leave your house" she said and walked out the door

Oh my god my poor Lauren

"Valentina this is unbelievable your mom and me never had a relationship and-" I said and got cut off again by Val

What is it with girls and cutting me off

"So I was a mistake?!" She asked while yelling and I was a speechless

"No you were not planned but-" I continued just to get cut of again

Oh my fucking god

"I'm home!" A very hot voice yelled and I turned around and oh my god she's sexy

"Oh I'm sorry I didn't know we had visitors" She said "I'm sorry I forgot to introduce myself I'm Chloe and you are?" She asked "Uh  I'm Xavier" I said

But Chloe that names sounds so familiar

Chloe looked at me then at my daughter and pulled out a small smirk

"Ohhh look who came running back to me"a voice from behind her said "Hi I'm Frieda does that name sound familiar" she asked while smirking

Holy fuck Frieda was the mother of Valentina and Chloe walked in on it assuming I was Frieda's boyfriend

I grabbed Vals hand and said "No we didn't come on Val" and Val just took her arm away from my hold and said "Mommy??"

I froze Frieda smirked "Yes sweetheart?" She said "Can you come home?" She asked "Of course I can" Frieda said "Yay let's go"

Val grabbed Frieda's hand and walked to the car

Lauren was waiting for us but when she saw Frieda her eyes widened

"Who is she" Lauren asked "she's my mommy" Val said and I saw hurt in Laurens eyes

"Uh okay then I'm just gonna pack my things and go to my house yeah?" She said and wiped tears that were falling down
